About two and a half years ago Lady Gaga released her first fragrance, Fame, which caused quite a stir with its black tinted perfume. Last year she followed it up with her second scent, Eau de Gaga, a gender natural fragrance targeted to both men and women.
Lady Gaga's Eau de Gaga Eau de Parfum* is unlike any other fragrance in my collection and, I have to say, I love it! Keep reading to see why.
The Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga Eau de Parfum* is centred around white violet, a flower that is said to fuse attractions between males and/or females. Leather (but really, is that even a scent?) adds depth and dimension to the scent, with a citrus lime kick that preventing the fragrance from being too dark and broody.
I'll be honest, I don't often read the media release of fragrances I'm sent straight away as I love to form my own opinions so, I'll admit, I was a little confused the first time I wore it. I chucked it on without thinking and about half way to work I realised that, as nice as the scent was, I was smelling a bit like my best friend, a guy. After realising it was designed to appeal to both genders, I asked him to tell me what he thought and he ended up stealing it from me (with permission, I suppose) so it's safe to say that it receives the tick of approval from men.
The Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga Eau de Parfum* is a scent that I was on the fence about for quite some time before ultimately deciding that I loved it. If you're a girl who's always wished she could throw on those musky male fragrances that you're always attracted to, this is for you. In a similar vein, if you're a guy who loves to smell delish but sometimes feels like the really dark scents are a bit much, you'll love this.
Finally, let's take a look at the Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga Eau de Parfum's* super luxe bottle which is very Tom Fordesque, in my opinion. Like the scent, I feel like it's a really gender neutral design and is something that could sit on a vanity of a shared space without looking like it belongs to one partner over another (not that I have that problem - #foreversingle). The media release I was sent with the perfume states that the #001 on the name plate represents the beginning of a long story, meaning that a second scent may be in the pipeline. As you can see below, the box is equally as beautiful and I'm told that the 75mL fragrance is actually housed in a red folding jewellery box.
Lady Gaga's Eau de Gaga Eau de Parfum* is available now and has been since September, 2014. It retails for $49.00 for 50mL and $69.00 for 75mL and can be bought from Myer, Priceline and selected pharmacies.
Have you tried the Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga Eau de Parfum*? What's your favourite celebrity fragrance? Have you ever tried a gender neutral scent? What did you think?
*This product was sent to me, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review
