July Favourites, 2013

As always, I have a lot of favourites, most of which are beauty so I always love the end of a month because it means I can share all these product favourites with you all! Like most months, July has gone super fast. I turned 21 this month (I know, so old). My Mum's also been away for the whole month which is super weird as we are the only two living in my house. My friend's been house sitting with me and, as much as I'm having a great time, I'm looking forward to my Mum coming home but if you tell her I said that I'll deny it!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metals
If you know what I like you'll know I absolutely hate the original colour tattoos. I was just so disappointed by them. Somehow though, Maybelline has redeemed themselves with the Metal collection. They're absolutely beautiful. The pigmentation is beautiful and they're so creamy. If Maybelline could rework the formula of the original tattoos to reflect these I'd be a very happy beauty love. I have two Maybelline Color Tattoo Metals; #55 Inked in Pink and #70 Barely Branded.

MAC Pigment in Vanilla
This was featured in a somewhat recent MAC haul and I'm pretty sure I've used it almost everyday since then. This loose pigment makes the most beautiful inner corner highlight. It's such a beautiful colour that reflects pink tones when teamed with cool eyeshadows and yellow when teamed with warmer shades. It's so versatile, so beautiful and everyone needs it.
Sleek Contour Kit in Light
I'm quite a big fan of this duo and I've used it a fair bit since I picked it up. Having a contour and highlighter in one place is so convenient and, of course, I absolutely love both. The contour is the perfect shade to add some quick definition to the face and I love that the highlight isn't too in your face.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter BB Cream for Combination/Oily Skin

Illamasqua Powder Blush in Sophie
My amazing blogging friend, Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty, bought me the Illamasqua Powder Blush in Sophie as a birthday present. This blush is so versatile, going with almost every make up look, and gives my face the most amazing glow. To see how it looks on the face, check out this Face of the Day
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Peach Passion
This lipstick was a Coles Myer giftcard purchases and I think it's a really lovely colour. It's a beautiful peach that can be dressed up or down, made to look quite subtle or very vibrant. It's just an all round winner for me.

Sleek Eau La La Liner in Red Sky Night
This eyeliner is a great mid toned pink that works so well as a lip liner for many of my lipsticks, as well as by itself. It's a very long lasting formula, especially when used by itself, but it's also beautiful under so many of the lipsticks of mine.

Whilst I love these two lip products by themselves, I think they're particularly beautiful when used together. To see how the look together, check out this Face of the Day

As hard as it is to say, I've also been loving my 50 Day Spending Ban with Jasmine. I've found myself saving a lot more money and, hey, it's nice to watch that savings balance grow. Hello, IMATS 2014.

What have you been loving this month? Next month I'm looking forward to more 21st birthday parties (yup, it's the year of parties). I think I'm also going to a bizarre production with my three year old nephew which should be super cute. Do you have anything exciting planned for this month? Let me know!
Always look your best,
Sophie

  1. I had a feeling that YSL would make your favourites! It's such a stunning colour. I agree that those metals are much better than the other tattoos!

  2. I have most of the colour tattoos, but I definitely agree that the product in the metals collection is much nicer then the original. I have been lusting after that MAC pigment forever.. I always discover new things I want when reading your blog Sophie! You're oh so bad for my pocket but I love it!
