June Favourites, 2013

This is the first beauty post I've written since June 18 when I uploaded my MAC Studio Finish Concealer and my gosh it feels good to be getting back into it. Before I get into my late June Beauty Favourites I want to apologise for the fact that I've been a little MIA in the blogisphere lately. If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or you read this post you'll know that I've not been well. Somehow I managed to perforate my ear drum. Eurgh. My ear is not 100% healed (and now I've hurt my back) but I really wanted to get this post up!

My posts may still not be as regular as I'd like but, hey, I'm trying to get back into it! Anyway, let me stop waffling on and get into my June beauty favourites!!
I've made no secret of my undying love for the Korres Lip Butters. I've since bought the Jasmine lip butter after finishing the Pomegranate and Quine ones and, let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint! In fact, this may be my favourite of the three. Jasmine is a clear lip butter meaning it's perfect for before bed and it's an absolute favourite of mine. Seriously, check them out!!

One of my favourite lip combinations this month has been MAC's Currant Lip Pencil with MAC's Rebel lipstick. MAC describes Currant as 'intense reddish purple' and Rebel as 'vivid pinkish-purple'. These products are an absolutely winning combination that create the most amazing  deep berry lip colour for winter. FUN FACT: People at work love it when I wear this lip combination and actually request it.

After hearing a lot about the Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Erasers, I finally gave in to the hype and picked these bad boys up in two shades; #10 Fair and #60 Brightener. I find that these don't provide full coverage for the under eye, with a more natural finish, but I really like that for the daytime/work. I'm not going to say any more about these though as I have a full review coming soon.

I've found myself reaching The Balm's Meet Matt(e) palette a lot this month. Whilst I really like the whole palette, there's one colour that I absolutely love; Matt Patel. Temptalia describes this colour a 'a grey-ish mauve with a little brown' and I think it's the perfect colour to use in the crease for cool toned/purple eye looks.

A few weeks ago I was sucked into a Chemist Warehouse sale and I picked up the Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck perfume for $29.00 (or maybe $39.00). It was such a bargain and I really, really like it. I think I like the original perfume a tiny bit more but I love this also and have found myself gravitating towards it a lot this month.

Finally, I have been loving using the Furless Perfectly Pink Angled Liner Brush PPM2* to fill in my eyebrows this month. I always thought I was quite content with my Essence Angled brush but, after using this, I don't think I could go back. I don't quite know why I like it more, I just do. I find that I have more control with it and can get a far more defined brow. Thanks for the brush, Furless!

My last few favourites for the month of June are people! This month some family from New Zealand came to visit and I had the best time with them. My Mum's brother, wife and my two amazing cousins moved there about five years ago and have only been here once since. It was so nice spending time with them.

I also had my 21st party in June and, once again, I had a fantastic time. To see photos from my party, click here
