October Beauty Faves, 2016

October has been a great month! I spent the start of it in Margaret River (south of Perth, for anyone interstate) and, whilst it was nowhere near long enough, it was great to get away! In short, it was a few days of wine, cheese, chocolate and baby cuddles! I didn't take many photos but there are a few on my Instagram if you'd like to check them out.

In terms of beauty, I have a few bits to talk to y'all about today! For some reason these products in this post a really eye heavy so please excuse that. Most of these products are somewhat recent additions to my collection but, as always, there's a few products that I've fallen back in love with that I wanted to give a shoutout to also.

I've been trying to get into liquid liner with the hope of mastering a somewhat decent flick so I pulled out the Rimmel London Colour Precise Eyeliner* in #001 Black and I adore it. I don't know why I didn't give it a shot when I first received it. It's a super black liquid eyeliner that gives a really bold and crisp line. I'm still no pro at doing eyeliner, let's not kid around, but at least I'm getting there - maybe..

I picked up the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden when my MAC Paint Pot in Painterly ran out and I'm so glad I decided to try something new. This primer has a creamy nude tint to it which evens out the skin tone on the lids, making it the perfect base for eyeshadow. It also dries to a matte but not dry finish, meaning that it's not essential to set the base before going in with eyeshadow. A million years ago I reviewed the original Urban Decay Primer Potion; Did you want me to write an updated review? Let me know!

Lastly for the eyes, this month I decided to open the Sephora Outrageous Volume Dramatic Volume Mascara that I got in a pack I ordered from the US Sephora years ago and I'm really enjoying it. It's quite a wet formula that gives a lot of volume, as the name suggests. It's super black, which I love, and I really love how lengthening it is also. Next up I want to try Sephora's Outrageous Curl Mascara. I hear that's awesome also!

Blush is something I chop and change with but, with the weather warming up here in Perth, I've been gravitating towards a peachy blush lately. NARS' Orgasm has been one I've reached for a heap lately as I love how the golden shimmer eliminates the need for a highlighter, however MAC's Powder Blush in Melba has been my go to on days where I want something matte. Melba is a coral peach shade that blends seamlessly into the skin for a lovely look. I was a little overwhelmed by it at first because it was pigmented, however now I know how to make it work and I love it.

And that's my favourites! It's not a big one, I know, but these products have really impressed me all month long and they're the only ones I've repeatedly reached for. Also, I know I've been a little MIA lately but I'm back and I promise I have a lot of exciting posts coming to make up for it!
