Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint Review and Swatches

Barry M is a well known British cosmetics company that seems to be well regarded within their beauty community. Their nail polishes are always spoken of very highly so I was beyond excited when they started being sold in Big W stores and finally became available in Australia. Unfortunately my local store doesn't carry the line, however over the past six or so months I've built up quite a collection of two of their ranges, Sunset Daylight Curing and Gelly Hi Shine.

My favourite of the two is the Sunset Daylight Curing range (although Gelly Hi Shine is lovely also), so that's what I'm going to talk about today!

Much like similar products from Sally Hansen and Rimmel London etc, the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints are formulated to provide the look and longevity of salon nails without the need to set them with a UV lamp or the costly process. Barry M says that the Nail Paints are designed to work in conjunction with the specific Topcoat to provide a high shine and long lasting gel finish that's easily removed with regular nail polish remover.

To cut what could be a long story short, I am a big fan of the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing formula. The Nail Paints apply smoothly and are generally opaque within two coats, with the Topcoat applying evenly and drying quickly to provide a high shine finish, as promised. I'm on a computer all day at work which I find to be quite hard on my nails, however the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints last approximately five days before I decide that it's time to reapply. The description of the product says that you don't need to use a base coat, however I do because I feel like you get a smoother application.

Drive Me Navy, Peach for the Stars, I've Been Pinkin', Fuchsia Generation, The Way You Make Me Teal and Do It Like a Nude

I have six Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints, as well as the Topcoat, as you can see from the photos above. All of the colours are gorgeous, however I've got a real soft spot for Drive Me Navy and Fuchsia Generation. I don't know what it is about those two colours but they were in constant rotation for over a month recently!

As far as at home gel type nail systems go, the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints are my favourite. Not only do they stay the best out of any I've tried, they come in a great range of colours and, at $12.95 each, they're super affordable!

Have you tried any Barry M polishes? What did you think?
