LUSH Cosmetics Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask

In mid June I, along with Sam from That Little Beauty Blog, organised and attended Bloggers United's 1st birthday celebration at the newly relocated (well, newly at the time) LUSH on Murray St in Perth. The event was fab, of course, as was the opportunity to shop after the store closed with many knowledgable bloggers and LUSH employees all around me. Under the guidance of a friend who'd been raving about it for weeks, I grabbed a pot of the Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask and, let's just say, this is a love story for the ages.

The LUSH Cosmetics Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask is a cleansing mask designed to also be soothing and refreshing, with ingredients like kaolin clay, calamine and Turkish rose oil included to calm the skin whilst restoring its balance. Basically it's a gentle clay mask that smells amazing and I am totally okay with that.

Like all other Fresh Face Masks, LUSH's Rosy Cheeks is a mask that should be kept in the fridge to keep the ingredients fresh so, when applied, it has a lovely cooling to the skin which is particularly nice in summer here in Australia. It's a relatively thick clay mask, as you can hopefully see from the photos, that is very smooth in texture and applies to the skin very nicely. It dries to a more matte finish, as shown below, and it's recommended to be worn for approximately 10-15 minutes.

After purchasing Rosy Cheeks I read mixed reviews of this mask online but I am happy to report that it is love. Some clay masks dry me out, however this one doesn't. It leaves me feeling clean and refreshed but without the dry and squeaky feeling that more intensive masks can leave behind. In terms of calming, I notice a difference there too. I don't know if it's the kaolin or the calamine (perhaps a combination of both) but I do notice a reduction in the redness and intensity of active breakouts after wearing this mask which is all I ask for. This bad boy has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine and I whip it out at least once a week, normally one a Sunday afternoon so I can wear it while I'm cleaning my make up brush. #multitasking

Before and after the LUSH Cosmetics Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask has dried

I've already gone through one pot of the LUSH Cosmetics Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask and, judging by the amount I've got left in my second one, it won't be long until I'm buying my third. I believe the mask can be bought from any LUSH store and, at only $13.95 a pot, it's a bargain!

Have you tried LUSH's Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask? If not, what's your favourite mask from their range?

  2. I'm liking the idea of this mask! Maybe I'll pick up a pot after I finish my Origins clay mask. I haven't dabbled in Lush skincare very much so it'd be nice to try something new!
