Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation Review

I picked up the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation on a whim after seeing so many people rave about it and, given that it's been a staple in my everyday make up routine for quite some time now, I cannot believe I've not reviewed it sooner!

Now that I've let you in on a secret and you already know I'm a fan, let's get into the actual review!

From what I can tell, the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation is marketed as a medium coverage foundation for people with combination to oily skin, especially given that it has an oil free formula. The foundation is housed in basic pink packaging. It doesn't have a pump but the tube is easy to squeeze and much easier to use than a pour bottle.

As you can see from the photos below, the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation as medium coverage that can be built up slightly. Just so you know, I didn't build it up in the before and after so you could see how it looks after one layer. It has a light and almost mousey texture that's still quite wet, making it really easily to blend. I've read that it has a built in powder system (whatever that is) which would explain the natural matte finish it has.

My favourite thing about the Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation is the longevity. On a weekday I can easily need my make up to last 10+ hours, especially if I'm going out after work and this foundation easily does that. I always apply it with the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, of course, and after a full day there's little to no wear.

The only downside to Covergirl's Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation is the colour selection. In Australia we're limited to four shades only, whilst the US gets a whopping twelve shades! Whilst the lightest shade available, #105, is a pretty good match for me, I'd really love to see some of the others hit our shores to make the product more accessible to people with varying skin tones.

The Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Oil Free Foundation retails for $16.95 and it available from anywhere that sells Covergirl products!

According to my research, Covergirl is not cruelty free
