It's funny. Every time I decide it's time to start thinking about my monthly favourites post I'm clutching at straws to think of enough products to make a whole post out of it and then, completely out of nowhere, I suddenly remember a million different products that I am completely smitten by and cannot live with out.
The result? A relatively large favourites post so let's get into it!
My first favourite of the month isn't a thing, it's the fact that I'm back in the blogosphere. When you're gone for as long as I was it's really hard to come back but I finally bit the bullet and I couldn't be happier!
If you follow me anywhere you'll know that I'm awful to my hair. I change my hair colour far too often, subjecting it to frequent bleaching and colour striping sessions etc. I am back to blonde and in an attempt to repair some of the damage I have been using two Pureology products religiously for the last few months and I've definitely noticed a difference. I spray both the Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum Miracle Filler Treatment and Pureology Colour Fanatic Multi Tasking Hair Beautifier* in my hair before I brush it and I think it add condition and shine whilst making it easier to brush and manage!
My skin was an asshole for a bit. There's no other way to put it. It was amazing for so long and then it went to total poo even though nothing in my skincare routine had changed. One night I was super desperate to find something to help and I pulled out the Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Lotion* from a stash of products I've been sent. I applied it before I went to bed and, I not, I noticed a difference in my skin in the morning. I've been using this nightly ever since and I cannot imagine life without it!
I don't know whether I've spoken about the It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Angled Radiance* brush before but, given that it's been my favourite base brush of the last 6+ months, I don't mind repeating myself. I don't think this brush is actually made for foundation, however it's my favourite brush for applying foundation and concealer. It's not cheap but I've recently bought a second one and having two in my collection is like a dream.
For actual make up, I only have two bits. NARS' Powder Blush in Orgasm is one that I pulled out as the warmth seemed to go with my hair as it went from red to faded red to orange to super warm blonde and, even though I'm back at a nice blonde, I still love it! I previously thought it was a bit overrated so I'm kinda glad that I get the hype now, even if I am, like, six years late on the bandwagon. The NYX Turnt Up High Voltage Lipstick in Flutter Kiss caught my eye as I was browsing the recently restocked NYX display at my local Priceline recently so, naturally, I bought it and I've loved it ever since. It's a kind of dusky pink with cool tones which I really get along with!
I love to hate washing my make up brushes but the EcoTools Makeup Brush Shampoo* makes it so much easier, especially when combined with this Brush Egg (link to a similar one) I bought off eBay for just a couple of dollars. I have a full review of the brush shampoo but, until then, just know that it does a great job of removing product from brushes, especially when used in conjunction with the egg which works it into the brush!
That's a wrap! I've made some excellent discoveries over the last few months and I'm currently putting them through their paces so expect to see even more from me in the future!
