FOTD // My Workplace Face That Always Get Compliments

I don't have a lot of time in the morning on a weekday. I get up at 5.30am and I'm out the door by 6.40am at the latest, leaving me with just over an hour to be fully ready at out the door. Before you ask, yes, it's brutal! With such a short amount of time to get ready, I opt for fairly basic looks that will still make me look presentable but also last 10+ hours. Not too much to ask for, right?

There are a few looks that I tend to rotate but this shimmery gold eye is an absolute favourite. I receive compliments whenever I wear this look too, which is always a bonus, so I often wear it when I want a bit of a pick me up.

I've been wanting to share at least one of my 'go to' work looks with you all for a while now but my morning schedule doesn't leave me with much time to whip out my camera and take a few photos. On Monday, however, I left a bit later to get to a work meeting so I was able to get these snaps!

Collective High End Beauty (Make Up and Skincare) Haul

I've picked up a few products over the past month or so, making a note of each new purchase in my phone as I did so. The other day I realised that my list was actually getting fairly long which definitely means it's time for a haul! Some of these products were backs up/replacements, others were impulse purchases, but I thought you might all enjoy seeing what's recently made its way into my collection - whoops!

Australis Metallix Eyeshadow* Review and Swatches

I always really loved the Australis AC/ME Metallic Finish Eyeshadows but, given that they were limited edition, I didn't talk about them much. I mentioned them in a favourites or two but, let's be honest, no one really likes a product tease and I didn't want to send you on a hunt for something that's unavailable. It's just a dick move. 

With that in mind, I was completely stoked when Australis announced that they were rereleasing the eyeshadow formula as part of their permanent line. The eyeshadows have a new name, Metallix Eyeshadow, and come in a range of six shades now; three new shades, as well as the three shades from the AC/ME collection. Not only can I finally sing their praises, there's more shades!!

In my ongoing pursuit for healthier skin, I have been making a conscious effort to use face masks at least once a week (I even have #FaceMaskFriday over on Instagram, if you want to pop over!). I rotate the masks I use quite frequently, mainly depending on my skin's needs, but I decided to take advantage of LUSH's recycling program (return five empty black LUSH pots in return for a free Fresh Face Mask) to pick up Catastrophe Cosmetic, a face mask I've used in the past and been really happy with. 

Priceline Haul and Cosmetics Bag Gift with Purchase - May, 2015

Priceline is currently running their beloved free cosmetics gift bag promotion which, of course, is a great time to pick up a bunch of make up products without feeling as guilty. Not only is the gift with purchase in itself great value, but many of the brands included in the gift bag are on sale also, meaning it's even more value for money!

Updated Essie Nail Polish Collection with Review and Swatches

Essie nail polishes are, without a doubt, my favourite. I started out with a couple but, over the past year or two, I've managed to acquire quite the collection. I uploaded a review and swatches post about this time last year but, given that my Essie nail polish collection has more than tripled, I thought it was time for an update! 

Just to warn you, the nail polish swatch photos aren't overly fabulous. My camera doesn't like taking photos of swatches so I have to do them with my phone which can result in not so great photos. They're definitely good enough for you to see the colour but! 

All of the nail care I use is now by Essie. 

Good to Go Top Coat // I top off every manicure with a coat of this nail polish. It's super fast dry and has a great shine to it!

Grow Stronger Base Coat // I'm trying to get my nails in better condition and I really think this helps. It's really fast dry and I think it really prevents nail breakage

Apricot Cuticle Oil // I've been applying this every single night before bed for about a month (I know, you wouldn't know judging from how full the bottle is) and I really think it's helped with the condition of my nails and, more so, my cuticles! 

#FoundationFriday | NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

NARS released their All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation earlier this year  in Australia (late last year overseas) and it created quite a divide in the beauty community. There were two camps; you either loved it or you hated it. I picked it up on a whim but, after being pleasantly surprised, I cannot sing its praises enough!
