BLOGMAS DAY FOUR: Marie Claire The Parcel | Summer Edit, 2015

The only good thing about Spring becoming Summer is the fact that it means a new Marie Claire The Parcel Edit. I've whinged before but I'm going to whinge again .. I HATE THE WARM WEATHER. The weather has been relatively cool over the last week or so but it's warming up again. Hopefully it's not too hot for Christmas!

To see what was inside my box and, more importantly, keep reading.

Lonvitalite C4 Coconut Milk Hydrating & Nourishing Facial Mask and C3 Red Wine Collagen Firming & Moisturising Facial Mask
These cloth masks deliver ingredients deep into the dermis. Subscribers will receive two of the follow: C2 Collagen Firming & Wrinkle Removing Moisturising Faical Mask, C3 Red Wine Collagen Firming & Moisturising Facial Mask and C4 Coconut Milk Hydrating & Nourishing Facial Mask
I've tried the C4 Coconut Milk Hydrating & Nourishing Facial Mask in the past, you can check out my review here. I was really impressed with the mask so I'm glad to have two more in my overflowing collection!

Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm
Made from a blend of pure plant oils including rose hip, coconut and sunflower oils, this semi-solid balm melts on contact to quickly and easily dissolve make-up, leaving skin silky smooth and hydrated. Try using with a cotton cloth for a sensory pre-bedtime treat.
I was sent a full size of this product earlier this year and I actually reviewed it yesterday. You can see that post here. As you can tell, I quite like the product, however it's not a favourite. I think it is a great addition to a subscription box but, given that I have it, I'll probably pass it on to a family member or save it for a skincare giveaway.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster
This lightweight treatment is clinically proven to restore the appearance of the skin's surface layer for supple, smooth, more radiant looking skin. It helps to boost the skin's natural defences and ability to renew itself, while optimising the results of your entire regime. Apply before serum or moisturiser.
This sounds like a wonder product. It sounds somewhat similar to my Sunday Riley Good Genes and comes at a slightly smaller price point but I'm really looking forward to putting this to the test.

SWISSE Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner
Enriched with soothing aloe vera, hydrating sea minerals, antioxidant-rich niacinamide and calming rosa damascena flower oil, this spray hydrates, rejuvenates and tones the skin, leaving it looking brighter and more youthful. Use as a toner post-cleansing or to refresh skin throughout the day.
This is another great addition to a subscription box but I don't think it's a product I use. I'm a bit picky about the skincare I used and I don't like to be testing too many things, so I only try the products I think will really benefit me. I'm not sure that my skin needs something like this so I'll pass it on to someone who'll appreciate it more than I will.

Paula's Choice Vitamin C Spot Treatment
This innovative spot comprises of 25 per cent stabilised vitamin C in a silky texture and is ideal for spot treating wrinkles, stubborn brown spots and post-acne discolourations anywhere on the face, neck or chest. Use at leas three times per week and always use sunscreen!
My skin has been a hot mess lately and I've broken out like crazy. Not only are the break outs a pain in the ass to deal with but I'm always left with pigmentation that last for so long afterwards so this is something I'll definitely put to the test. It sounds like a wonder product so I'll report back and let you know how I've gone.

Maybelline New York The Colossal Pumped Up Volum' Express Mascara
Get ready to take your lashes to new heights. Featuring Maybelline's biggest mascara brush, a smoother formula with twice the collagen and a curved stem that delivers a double shot of mascara, it leaves lashes looking bigger, bolero and more extreme.
I LOVE receiving mascaras in my The Parcel boxes. You're basically meant to replace your mascara every three months so receiving one a season takes all the hassle oout of it for you. As for this mascara, it sounds promising but the 'biggest mascara brush' claim scares me.

Zoeva #227 Luxe Soft Definer
This German brand delivers high-quality luxurious and affordable make-up and brushes. Customers will receive one of the following essential eye brushes; #227 Luxe Soft Definer, #228 Luxe Crease or #230 Luxe Pencil.
You have no idea how excited I was when I heard that there was a Zoeva brush in this season's box!! Zoeva is one of those brands that I've wanted to try for so long now but I cannot justify purchasing any more brushes so I'm stoked to have this. I received the #227 Luxe Soft Definer, as I said, but I would've been happy with any of the options.

Maybelline New York Color Elixir by Color Sensational
Want hyper-saturated colour with an ultra-cushiony feel? A trio of concentrates deliver the colour pay-off of a lipstick, the nourishing care of a balm and the glassy shine of a gloss? Subscribers will receive one of two shades: Petal Plush or Fuchsia Flourish.
I currently own six Maybelline New York Color Elixirs and I've actually reviewed them here if you want to take a look. They're definitely nice glosses but I don't find myself reaching for them that often, so I might pass this on.

OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner
Infused with argan oil sourced straight from Morocco, this shampoo and conditioner are rich in supercharged antioxidants which help to reduce damage from heat styling and UV rays, plus renew hair's cell structure and promote softness and healthy shine.
This range was on sale somewhat recently and I actually picked up this duo. It was really nice to use, however it wasn't quite intensive enough for my somewhat damaged it. I don't go away often, if at all, but I'll definitely keep this for prospective travel.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure
Don't settle for just a colour: this combines a base coat, strengthener, treatment, colour, top coat, chip resistance and a gel finish all in one bottle. The unique precision brush makes for a flawless finish thanks to patented Vita Care technology for advanced 10-day wear. Subscribers will receive one of four shades.
I really rate Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure nail colour range so I was really excited to receive this gorgeous blue colour, #570 Water Color.

Michael Kors Rose Radiant Gold
The next chapter in Michael Kors fragrances is The Gold Collection; Three individual scents designed to reflect the opulence and luxury of the highly prized metal. Subscribers will receive one of three options: 24K Brilliant Gold, Rose Radiant Gold or White Luminous Gold.
I received Rose Radiant Gold. Fragrantica tells me that this perfume has spicy top notes, floral middle notes and musky base notes. It's definitely not my ideal perfume, so I can't see myself picking it up in full size, but it'll be nice to chuck in my bag!

That's another box done 'n' dusted. Once again, I am so impressed with the quality of my Marie Claire The Parcel! My highlights of the box would have to be the Paula's Choice Vitamin C Spot Treatment, Zoeva #227 Luxe Soft Definer and Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster.

I've made no secret of my love of The Parcel by Marie Claire in the past and I think a subscription would make a great Christmas present; I've even included it in my Last Minute Gift Ideas for Everyone post

There's so many great products though; I almost don't know where to begin!

What do you think of this season's box? Were you impressed?
