The Open Mascara Edit #4

Mascaras are one of my many beauty weaknesses. I am forever on the hunt for that perfect mascara. The one that'll give volume without looking clumpy, create a full look without looking spidery.. My requests generally contradict each other but, as Britney Spears says, that my prerogative. Did I really just do that?

I forever have a couple of mascaras on the go and, with a big cull in my mascara collection's near future, it's time to show you what I've got open and let you know my thoughts!

Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara
This mascara was included in the Winter Edit of Marie Claire's The Parcel this year and I'm sooo glad it was! This mascara is lovely. The straight silicon brush intimidated me at first but I absolutely love the way it grabbed onto my lashes and gave a really defined and voluminous look without making my lashes look clumpy in the slightest. It was more difficult to use as it dried out but that's to be expected. Check out this post to see it on!
Would I repurchase? Yep. I'd recommend it to everyone too!

Maybelline Volum' Express Lash Sensational Mascara
This is another lovely affordable mascara! It's a really no fuss mascara to apply and, for that reason alone, it's become a go to. This mascara offers a really defined lash look without clumps and with great lift. Check out this post to see it on!
Would I repurchase? Probably. I've gotten a friend onto it too.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I received this deluxe mascara sample when I swapped it for my old eyelash curlers during a somewhat recent Benefit Cosmetics promotion. The brush grips the lashes really nicely to coat the lashes and provide massive amounts of length and definition. Check out this post to see it on!
Would I repurchase? I think I've got another sample of it somewhere.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
When I want some badass lashes, this is the mascara I reach for. This mascara provides so much volume, curl and length to the lashes in a way that's just beautiful. I also find that this mascara clumps my lashes but in the best way possible, if that's even possible. I really love it. Can you tell?
Would I repurchase? Again, I think I've got another sample somewhere but it's definitely one I'd consider buying.

MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash
I have really long eyelashes and I find that mascara on my lower lash line always transfers and creates one hell-of-a mess. This is one of the only mascaras that I comfortably apply to my lower lashes, knowing that there'll be no transfer or mess, not even in the hot Australian weather!
Would I repurchase? Most definitely. This is my second tube!

Estee Lauder Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara

I received this mascara as a Marie Claire Magazine Gift With Purchase. When I grabbed the magazine I was hoping that it came with one of my all time favourite mascaras, Estee Lauder's Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara, but it wasn't so I was a little disappointed. This is a nice mascara but it's a bit basic and doesn't do anything magical for my lashes.
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I've been more inclined to grab the other mascara.

Phew, we're done! That's a whole lotta mascara, isn't it? It's time for a few of these to go now, so I can't wait to dig out a few more from my stash!

What's your favourite mascara at the moment?
