Today's post is a bit exciting for me. I've been silently obsessing over MAC's Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation for quite some time now (probably a solid six months) but, with my uploading inconsistencies, I've not had a chance to review it for y'all until now.
I've had a long time to play with this product so, to see if I think it lives up to the hype, keep reading!

MAC claims that their Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation is a can be used as a foundation or concealer and it has a wear time of 24 hours. They say that the formula repels moisture from the surface of the face and it blends seamlessly with a medium to full coverage and natural finish.
For me, this foundation is the ideal work base. A combination of great coverage and amazing lasting power, even for an oily girl like myself, means that I don't have to worry about my face melting off throughout the day, even in this Australian heat.
Rest in peace, Kira.
As you can see from the photos below (taken quite some time ago on a bad skin day - eep), the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation has great coverage. It evens out redness and gives a really smooth without looking like too much on the skin. I tend to apply one light layer and conceal any additional redness but, as the MAC's claims suggest, it can be built up for more intense coverage if that's what you'd prefer.
The somewhat thick consistency of this foundation means that, at times, it can be a little hard to work with. By hard, I don't mean it's difficult or time consuming to blend, I just mean that I'm picky with the tools I'll use. My favourite way to apply is to dot it over my face and then buff it in with a flat top kabuki brush. A brush that's not densely packed (something like Real Techniques' Buffing Brush) doesn't get the job done for me, but you might have more luck!
Six hours later.
I mentioned it earlier, I know, but the wear time of the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation is incredible. The photo above shows the foundation six hours after application and, to be honest, I think it looks better than it did after it was first applied. Any oils that I produce throughout the day are a lot less noticeable and, even if they do break through the foundation, they don't break down the product, meaning it can easily be blotted away without touch up. Not only does it last six hours, but I can easily get a twelve hour day after this foundation before getting the I NEED to wash my face off feels.
I miss you so much.
With pretty much no negatives to report, I really love the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation, as you may have guessed. I think the fragrance free formula is really suitable for my sensitive/combination skin and, whilst it can be pretty price at $54.00 for 25ml (instead of the usual 30mL), it's a product I can see myself continuing to repurchase for a long time to come!
Wow this sounds great! Im going to buy a bottle when I use up my studio fix
