Uriage Bariederm Soothing Repair Barrier Lip Balm* Review

It's no secret that lip balms are my jam. I have far too many in my collection and I'm always wanting to test new ones so I was more than excited to see the Uriage Bariederm Soothing Repair Barrier Lip Balm* in amongst the goodies we received at the Bloggers United Event I attended last month.

This product has lived in my handbag pretty much ever since, so it's finally time I share my thoughts on this French beauty!

The Uriage Bariederm Soothing Repair Barrier Lip Balm* is a lip treatment designed to be used on lips that suffer from dryness and dehydration. It is said to form a barrier to protect it from external factors whilst moisturising and healing cracked, dry and/or damaged lips. This lip balm is long lasting and fragrance and paraben free.

Uriage Bariederm Soothing Repair Barrier Lip Balm* is a great basic lip balm. It doesn't have any fancy packaging or delicious scent but, really, does any lip balm need that? In terms of effectiveness, I'd say there is probably one or two other lip balms in my collection that might out perform Uriage Bariederm Soothing Repair Barrier Lip Balm*, but the convenience this has as a throw-and-go product means it's a definite winner in my books!

This lip balm has a soft texture that can be likened to Vaseline, but it doesn't have the slip and oily consistency that Vaseline possesses. It is really smooth to apply and didn't become too hard and impossible to use in the cold winter weather we've been experiencing lately. I've heard it doesn't melt in the warmer months, though I'm yet to see how it withstands a Perth summer!

All in all, I think the Uriage Bariederm Soothing Repair Barrier Lip Balm* is a real winner. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that we all love, but it's a very effective product that, given the quality, has a great price point. It retails for $19.99 and can be bought from Priceline stores, selected pharmacies nationally and online from pharmacyonline.com.au or, my favourite, adorebeauty.com.au.

Have you tried this or any other product from Uriage? What do you use to soothe irritated lips?

*This product was sent to me, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review
