ADDICTED TO BLUSH TAG

Blushes are a weakness of mine. They can totally transform a look, bring so much light to the face and, let's face it, but they're just beautiful. I've found myself adding quite a few to my collection lately so I thought it was a great time to finally do the Addicted to Blush tag. This tag was created by Kat from Kitsch Snitch and I think it's a great one.

I think I was tagged in it quite some time ago but I can't remember who tagged me and, either way, I'm ready to do it so let's get into it!

What colour blush suits you the most?
I really like how cool toned pink blushes look on me. They brighten up the face and add a healthy flush that I think is really pretty. My favourite shades for that would have to be Illamasqua's Matte Blush in Tremble or Urban Decay's Afterglow Powder Blush in Obsessed

Pressed/cream/loose blush?
Pressed or cream. Anything but loose blush, pretty much. I don't have many cream blushes so I don't reach for them much, but I don't mind using them. In saying that, I love the convenience of powder blushes. You can just dip your brush in, buff it on and away you go!

Favourite shimmery blush?
The photos above don't do it justice but Becca's Mineral Powder Blush in Gypsy is my favourite shimmery blush of all time. It's a soft cool toned pink (what did I tell you?) that provides the most amazing healthy glow to the skin. It's absolutely gorgeous and I really want to get more from the range.

Favourite matte blush?
My favourite matte blush formula is definitely Illamasqua's Matte Blushes. I have three, with Tremble (a cool coral pink) and Naked Rose (a soft natural rosy pink) being my favourites, and I reach for them all the time. These blushes are incredibly pigmented, apply nicely and last all day. I cannot sing their praises enough.

Favourite cream blush?
I love NARS' Matte Multiple in Anguilla. Anguilla is a light to medium warm pink that is stunning. It applies nicely with a duo-fibre brush and I love the matte finish that it leaves. It's perfect for my combination/oily skin.

Favourite drugstore blush?
I actually don't have many super affordable blushes in my collection but NYX's Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic is a really favourite of mine. This blush is a really pretty baby pink that, once again, brightens up the face. It has a luminous blush that's consistent to powder blushes but it still lasts!

Favourite high end blush?
I've already spoken about a few of my high end blushes so I thought this was a good opportunity to gush about my NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette. This palette was limited edition, sorry, but they release similar palettes at least once a year. It's a real all-in-one palette and the quality of every product is great.

Favourite bright blush?
Urban Decay's Afterglow Powder Blush in Obsessed is a bright, yet light, cool toned lavender pink with a matte finish and it is stunning. It's incredibly pigmented and it's surprisingly wearable. I picked it up not thinking that I'd get much wear out of it, but it's become quite a staple in my routine.

Biggest blush regret/disappointment?
If we're taking high end regrets, it's probably the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Wardrobe. The blushes in this palette are nice, sure, but I don't find myself reaching for them and I don't really know why. I need to make a conscious effort to use it more. For a more affordable disappointment, I didn't love the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. There was so much hype around it and it really disappointed.

Best blush packaging?
I love how Urban Decay's Afterglow Powder Blush in Obsessed is packaged. The compact gunmetal packaging is really sleek. The brand's logo on the front is somewhat transparent so you can see which shade you're pulling out, a bonus if you've got more than one in the collection. The inside of the lid is also textured so it's a great place to tap a brush to remove extra product.

What's on your blush wish list?
I've heard such great things about Clinique's Blush Pops and I really want to try them. I've almost picked one up so many times but I'm waiting for one of their new shades, Pansy Pop, to be released in Australia so I can get my hands on it.

#1 holy grail blush?
This is a tough one but I think it comes down to two, Illamasqua Powder Blush in Naked Rose or Becca Mineral Powder Blush in Gypsy. Both are really versatile, really beautiful and staples in my make up collection.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic | NARS Matte Multiple in Anguilla | Illamasqua Powder Blush in Tremble | Illamasqua Powder Blush in Naked Rose | Urban Decay Afterglow Powder Blush in Obsessed | Becca Mineral Powder Blush in Gypsy

As I said, blushes are my weakness and I'm so glad that I can share some of my favourites and unfavourites with you all today. There are so many more that I could've talked to you about but I would've been writing all day.

I'm pretty late on the bandwagon and I know a lot of people have already done this but, regardless, I tag the following beautiful ladies -

Jasmine // Sweetaholic Beauty
Nikita // NJT Reviews
Anissa // Beautifully Glossy
Amy // Bottled Beauty
Nalini // The Made Up Maiden
Sarah // More Than Adored
Natalia // Glossy Confidential
Sheri // Berri X Beauty
Anyone else who wants to do it!

If you've done this tag, comment your link below so I can check it out. If you don't have a blog or YouTube account, leave your answers below. I want blush recommendations, people!
