BLOGGERS UNITED PERTH | Part One : Event Recap

Earlier this year, two interstate friends, Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty, and Nikita from NJT Reviews, contacted me and asked me to be involved in bringing their successful blogging event held in Melbourne, Bloggers United, to Perth and, of course, I jumped at the opportunity. Along with Jasmine and Nikita, Angie from Peplum and Prosecco and Samantha from That Little Beauty Blog, I have spent the two or so months working like a mad woman to plan the event;    scouting locations, contacting brands and doing everything else involved in organising a successful event.

We hosted the event on Saturday, August 15, and, if I can say so myself, it well really well. So much of my blood, sweat and, if I'm honest, tears went into the organisation of the day and I couldn't be happier with how it went.

For all the gossip on the day, including a bunch of photos, check keep reading!

The event was held in the function room Gramercy Bar and Kitchen (Shop 10, 777 Hay Street) and I couldn't fault it. Sure, the space was probably a little tight but the service was impeccable and the staff were amazing; no request was too difficult.

On arrival, this is what every guest saw. Every person was greeted with a mocktail (virgin Shirley Temple, anyone?) and a name tag - because we're all guilty of only knowing someone by their Instagram handle.

Throughout the venue we had beautiful flower arrangements, including an individual rose for every guest, that were kindly gifted to us from Fresh Flowers. A Perth based sweet treat business, Sweetly Baked Perth, also jumped on board and created stunning biscuits and cupcakes for our guests. Yep, there was enough for everyone! Everything was gone by the time I went to get mine (crazy, I know) but I guess that means they were absolutely delicious.

As well as having a selection of brand representatives attend the event, we also had Yasmeen from Essence of Jasmine, a small handmade bath and body store from Perth, in our company. Not only did Yasmeen set up a table where we could see just some of her beautiful products in action (I made one hell of a shopping list, don't you worry), she also gifted every guest a beautiful candle which was beyond generous. After meeting Yasmeen in real life, I'm not surprised. She was a genuinely lovely person who was so kind and supportive of what we were doing; a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for everything, Yasmeen.

Trying to get all seven (yes, seven) goodie bags on every place at the tables was a bit like playing an epic game of tetris but, hey, they all had a home in the end. Take a look at all of that natural light too. It was amazing for photos!

A combination of presentations by amazing brands and games hosted by the Bloggers United team made up the day. We were lucky enough to have representatives from Elucent Skincare, Enbacci, L'Oreal Professional Haircare, Weleda, John Plunkett and, lsat but not least, LUSH in our presence and they all gave us such great insight into their products. Not only that, they were all such kind and genuine people.

Most, but not all, of the amazing girls who attended the event. Every single guest was lovely and it was honestly so amazing to put faces to soo many names!

The whole Bloggers United team, minus Nikita who couldn't make it.

And that's it. That was the first ever Bloggers United event to be held in Perth! There are a few things that I would've done better but, all in all, I think it was a great day.

To everyone who came to the event, thank you so much. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I really hope you had a great time. To Nikita and Jasmine, thank you for trusting me with your baby, Bloggers United. I really hope we did you proud! Finally, to my two friends who answered my S.O.S. signals two days before the event and helped me, I cannot thank you enough.

Before I go, I know there's one final question you'd love to know that answer to; WHAT was in all those goodie bags? Come back tomorrow to check that out!
