February was a pretty good month for me. It was one of those non eventful months but, with nothing terrible to report, I classify it as a good one. I've been discovering a lot of great products lately but, with life becoming quite busy, I've been struggling to find the time to blog. To top it all off, I recently lost internet access (thanks a lot, Optus) so blogging will remain a bit intermittent until it's back up and running!
With all that in mind, let's talk about what I was loving in the month of February.
My beauty loving friend recommended the Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation when I started complaining about how the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation broke me out so, naturally, I bought it on a whim. I wore this foundation almost exclusively in February and really loved it. It's a pretty great colour match for me, wears extremely well and has really nice coverage!
As expected, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit is great. I've been using the contour shade in Fawn and Banana highlight powder ever since I received it but, in an attempt to streamline my morning make up routine (which is code for I'm-so-lazy), I've been warming up the perimeters of my have with Havana, one of the warmer contour/bronzing shades, instead of a bronzer. I always kept my distance from the really warm shades as I thought they looked far too orange but, I'll be honest, I'm really enjoying it!
I always feel like you're 'set' when you find a lip combo that you love and I am onto a definite winner at the moment. To start off, I line my lips with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. I don't overdraw my lips, purely because I think it looks ridiculous on me, but I definitely define my lip line and find that makes them look more plump! MAC's Angel Lipstick is a soft pink that looks so great on top, adding a subtle sheen and creating my perfect every day lip.
I'm trying to take care of my hair a lot more lately and I've been loving the Shu Uemura Art of Hair Ultimate Remedy Extreme Restoration Duo Serum*. Inside the packaging there's two products, a hair serum and something that has more of a leave in treatment texture, and they pump out individually at the same time. Basically, you're using two hair products in the one application. Not only is this product convenient, it's also really effective and I've noticed a bit difference in my hair after consistently using it.
Finally we, unfortunately, have another product that's a bit of a fail. I was recommended the MAC Skin Refined Zone Treatment by a friend who swears by it and initially I loved it. It's a really fantastic product that applies so smoothly under foundation and extends the wear of face make up beyond belief. I fell head over heels for the product before realising that it was totally breaking me out. D'oh! If you don't have sensitive skin and are looking for something to extend the wear of your make up, I'd highly recommend you check this out!
This month's beauty favourites aren't too chock-a-block (do only Australians use that phrase?) but I really love every single thing featured. These are all staples that I think anyone would love so I highly recommend you check 'em out.

I love the Covergirl Outlast Foundation - it's one of the my HG drugstore foundation. I used probably 3 bottles of it already and just recently the shade doesn't work for me. Maybe I tanned so much this summer but i am hoping it will be ok again in Winter. At the moment I am into Nars All Day luminous weightless foundation (pffftt mouthful). Love the post hun xx
