Marie Claire The Parcel | Autumn Edit, 2015

My Autumn Edit of The Parcel from Marie Claire arrived last Wednesday so I thought I'd share the contents. The Parcel by Marie Claire is one of the newest beauty subscription boxes to hit the Australian market. It is a seasonal subscription service, meaning that a new parcel arrives every quarter, with the contents of the box determined by seasonal trends.

Before I get into it, I just want to apologise for these photos. The lighting wasn't the best but I didn't want to wait any longer. I wanted to get this post up as soon as possible.
To see what I received in my Marie Claire The Parcel Summer Edit, keep reading!
L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream in Rose Heart
Enriched with 20 per cent shea butter, this balm penetrates quickly to protect and nourish even the driest skin. With one sold every three seconds, we have no doubt that you'll love this hydrating hand cream
There were four different scents we could get this hand cream in and I got Rose Heart. Though I would've preferred one of the other scents, I'm really excited to receive this. The old Nanna inside this 22 year old loves trying new hand creams!

MOR Emporium Classics Snow Gardenia Triple-Milled Soap
Hand-wrapped in tissue paper, these triple milled soaps add a touch of luxury to every day. They combine floral notes of gardenia with sweet almond oil, shea butter and vitamin E to leave the skin feelings nourished and fragranced.
This is a product I'll be passing on to someone else. My Mum gets migraines from gardenia scents so we've never had them in the house. Now, when I do smell them, I really don't like it. I can see how others would though so I'll pass it on to someone who'll appreciate it.
*Bad photo alert*
Schick Hydro Silk
Make your morning go a little smoother with this nifty razor. The water-activated moisturising serum hydrates for up to two hours post shave, while five blades with skin guards provide closeness minus the nicks, so you get silky legs every time.
Yes! I know this is a fairly basic product but I'm pretty happy with it. I'm one of those people that always forgets to buy blades for my razor (though I finally remembered recently) so having a back up will be awesome!
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
Nothing beats the convenience of a cleansing towelette. Wipe away all traces of dirt, oil and make up in one easy step and, unlike other wipes than can cause irritation, these ultra-soft cloths can remove even waterproof mascara without stinging your eyes.
These are another product that I'll be passing on to someone else. I'm not a fan of make up wipes so, with that in mind, I have enough to last me a lifetime.
Rimmel London BB Cream Radiance in Light
Due to hit stores next month, we're delighted to be able to offer you this exclusive preview. Formulated with skin brightening vitamin C complex and comforting shea butter to tackle winter dehydration, this do-it-all skin perfecter will leave you looking naturally glowing.
I have (and really like) the Rimmel London BB Cream Matte but I'm not sure that the radiance formula is for me. I have already passed it onto my sister who identifies as have dry skin and I can't wait to see what she thinks of it!

Max Factor Materpiece Transform Mascara in Black
No matter which make up trend you're sporting this season, beautifully defined lashes are essential. This slender wand with shorter bristles ensures that every lash is coated from root to tip - make-up guru Pat McGrath used this back stage at the Victoria Beckham show at New York Fashion Week for a naturally full effect.
Hands down, this is the product I'm most excited about receiving in my box. I have been wanting to put this bad boy to the test since its release but couldn't justify purchasing it when I had 15+ unopened mascaras!
Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate
This multi award wiring serum works to repair and reactivate the 10 visible signs of youthful-looking skin. After cleansing and before moisturising, apply three drops evenly across your face and neck each morning and evening for skin that instantly looks smoother and more supple and luminous.
I'm always a bit wary of testing new skincare, especially with my skin's current freak out, but this product makes great promises so maybe I'll give it a shot!

Garnier Skin Naturals Miracle Skin Cream
Upon first contact, this clever cream auto-adjusts to each skin tone, working immediately to illuminate and smooth skin, while the added antioxidants work long-term to tackle wrinkles, dark spots and dehydration.
I can't generally use these products alone, purely as my skin isn't the best, but I like the concept of it for no-makeup days where friends are coming over and I want a little somethin'. I know of a few people who use and like this so let's give it a shot!

That's everything I received in my second The Parcel box from Marie Claire. If you want to see what I got in my first box, click here. I'm pretty happy with the contents of this box, though I do this my first box was better. I have bought the Seasonal Subscription and I think this box was pretty great value, considering it was only $25.00!

Given that these boxes are seasonal, I'm really looking forward to seeing what's in the next box as winter is my all-time favourite season! I'm predicting a berry lip in the box. What do you think?

What do you think of The Parcel? Would you consider subscribing? What's your favourite beauty subscription service?

  2. The Parcel is my favourite subscription box and for very good reason! I've received all three so far and are yet to be disappointed. Gardenia scents give me a headache also :(

  3. Hmm, I like the contents of this box, but I'm not LOVING it, per se! The value is definitely there and I'd have been happy to receive this box, but nothing particularly screams out to me.
