FRIDAY NIGHT PAMPER SESSION | What I use and what I do

Lately my skin has been pretty angry so I'm trying to make a conscious effort to give it a bit of T.L.C., starting with setting myself the goal of using a face mask at least once a week. I tend to go this on a Friday night if I'm just at home and I find that it's the perfect end to my working week, especially if I'm watching my latest Netflix tv obsession at the same time.

To see how I use these products, keep reading!

My face after a day at work - Don't judge the half worn make up

Firstly, I've got to remove the day's make up and I use the MAC Cleanse Off Oil for that. I massage this cleansing oil into my face and, as you can see, it just breaks down the make up and makes removing it so easy.

Next I like to exfoliate. Some people exfoliate after their cleanser but I prefer to do it before so I can wash away any left over exfoliant in the cleansing process. The Indeed Laboratories Facial Powdered Exfoliator is a water activated exfoliant that manually and chemically exfoliants at the same time. While I'm not sure if I prefer it to my Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, it's a really nice product to use.

It's time to cleanse! I love the People for Plants Grapefruit Aloe Foaming Cleansing Gel so, of course, that's the cleanser I use on a pamper day. It foams a little, as you can see in the photo above, but it's nothing drying in the slightest.

It's time for the face mask! If I've got a few breakouts that are healing and a bit dry, I'll tend to take this opportunity to use my Dirty Works Rose & Glow Moisture Mask but, given that I'm currently trying to heal breakouts and prevent new ones, I pulled out LUSH Cupcake Fresh Face Mask. If I'm using a clay mask, I'll tend to wait until they've hardened and then give another five(ish) minutes before removing. For masks that don't set, as such, (much like both that I've mentioned), I'll just leave them 15 ish minutes.

After washing the mask off well, I like to tone. When I'm wanting give my skin a gentle chemical exfoliant, I'll use the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner. Every other time, however, I'll reach for the Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion.

I always use my eye crews before moisturiser so this is the point where I'll apply it. I'm currently using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye but I don't think I'll be purchasing it. I'd recommend the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

Now it's time to add hydration back into the face. I start off by dotting the MAC Lightful Marine Bright Moisture Creme all over the face and massaging it in. There's no secret about the face that I love this moisturiser so there's not a day that I don't reach for it.

For extra hydration (and because I think it's really helping my troublesome skin at the moment), my final step is using a facial oil. I love rose hip oils and at the moment I'm really impressed with the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil. I really like massaging oils into my face, spending time really working the product in.

That's my pamper skincare routine. It isn't too different to my normal skincare routine, if I'm honest, but I really love the face that I don't rush myself. I allow myself all night to really indulge in the products.

What do you do on a pamper night? Is a wine or two involved? What are your favourite skincare products to whip out on pamper lights? Let me know!

Because who doesn't pull stupid faces when they're wearing a face mask?
