#FoundationFriday | L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau de Teint*

The L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau de Teint* was released in Australia sometime last year. It is a super light formula which claims to have a 'no makeup' feel on the skin and be super natural in coverage and finish. After hearing pretty good things about it from bloggers and vloggers overseas, I was super happy to  after seeing so many people rave about it, I was really excited to give it a shot!

Like I said, L'Oreal Paris' Nude Magique Eau de Teint* is a lightweight foundation that is designed to provide good coverage with a natural finish. L'Oreal claims that the formula is 'lighter than air' and, though I haven't tried it, I feel like it is meant to be a dupe for the Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup. Both sound like they have similar formulations and levels of coverage etc.

The texture of this foundation is unlike anything else I've tried. It's really runny, almost the consistency of water, making the whole need to pour the product out quite a potentially messy process. The first ingredient listed on the back is dimethicone so, not surprisingly, it has a really smooth texture that spreads really well so a little bit goes a long way - something to keep in mind.

L'Oreal Paris' Nude Magique Eau de Teint* is quite nice to apply. As I mentioned, the thin texture is really blendable and  a little goes a really long way. I tend to use a buffing brush to apply this product, purely because sponges aren't my thing. It's very easily worked into the skin and has a satin finish that I think does reflect the natural finish of skin quite well.

As you can see, the coverage is pretty decent, I'd call it light to medium. It could be built up a bit but I feel like it gets a bit heavy when built up so I prefer to go in with concealer instead. It's evened out a fair bit of my redness but not my blemishes, though not many foundations do.

My gripe with the L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau de Teint* is the wearability and lasting power. This foundation just doesn't last on me. After application it starts to feel oily on the skin quite quickly, before my natural oils would even have a chance to come through, and that intensifies as the day goes on. By the end of the day, I'm a bit shinier than I'd prefer to be.

Basically, if you're a combination/oily skinned girl and looking at picking up this foundation, I'd keep walking. If, on the other hand, you identify as having a normal/dry skin type, this might be the product for you!

You can pick this foundation up anywhere that sells L'Oreal Paris Cosmetics and it retails for $24.95.

Have you tried the L'Oreal Paris' Nude Magique Eau de Teint*? What did you think? What's your favourite L'Oreal Paris make up product?

*This product was sent to me, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review

  1. A shame it didn't do everything it claimed to, at least for you. I haven't tried this, I've been a bit hesitant as my skin is more on the oily side. xx
