Marie Claire The Parcel | Summer Edit, 2014

The Parcel by Marie Claire is one of the newest beauty subscription boxes to hit the Australian market. It is a seasonal subscription service, meaning that a new parcel arrives every quarter, with the contents of the box determined by seasonal trends.

I wanted to sign up for The Parcel in time for their Summer Box which was sent out in October but, unfortunately, I missed the boat on that one. I've since purchased Seasonal Subscription and I thought I'd share the contents of the Summer box which arrived on Friday! If you're interested in knowing pricing etc, keep reading and I'll talk you through it at the end.

To see what I received in my Marie Claire The Parcel Summer Edit, keep reading!

Look at how full the box is!
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo & Conditioner and Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray
Party season calls for beautiful, bouncy hair, so get set for your next big night out with this volumising range. Wash with the shampoo and conditioner, then mist the spray to your roots. Then comb through before blow-drying for va-va-voom volume with a naturally soft feel.
I'm not sure how much use these products will be to me because I have an abundance of hair that is quite voluminous by itself. In saying that though, the shampoo and conditioner are great travel sizes (if I ever go away - ha!).
Jergens Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser
For more than a century, Jergens beauty products have been a staple in the bathroom cabinets of American women and now this body-loving range is finally available on our shores.
I am so awful at remembering to moisturise my body but I think this moisturiser for extra dry skin would be perfect for my desk at work. I have quite dry elbows at the moment and have been applying my hand cream to them at work which might not be the best idea!

Revlon Age Defying CC Cream
Short on time and after a barely-there make-up base? Then this multitasking colour correcting cream might be just what you're after! It works to address the first signs of ageing (think: hyper pigmentation, fine lines, dehydration and uneven skin tone) while offering build able coverage with a broad spectrum SPF 30.
This product sounds really great but, unfortunately, I received it in a medium and I'm definitely a super pale skin tone. I'm not sure whether I should attempt to make it work or pass it on to someone with a darker skin tone. Thoughts?
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye
Zone in on fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles, dryness and uneven skin tone around the eyes with this powerful gel serum. Suitable for all skin types, Australia's number one eye treatment works to visibly repair, hydrate, brighten and protect this delicate area - and all while you rest.
I have been wanting to try this, along with their Advanced Night Repair facial serum, for quite some time now so I am really excited to receive this. If you've tried it, let me know what you think of it!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant
This iconic do-it-all balm helps to soothe, soften and protect dry or mildly irritated skin. For a dewy glow, try mixing it with your foundation or dab across the tops of your cheekbones for an instant radiance boost throughout the day.
This is another product that I've wanted to try for the longest time. It's like The Parcel has read my mind! Tanya Burr, along with so many others, raves about this product constantly so I'm really excited to see what all the type is about!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser for Face and Eyes
Remove make up, dissolve dirt, tone and lightly hydrate your complexion in one simple step. At the end of the day, massage the award-winning pH-balanced cleanser into a lightly damp face (even around the eye area), rinse off and pat dry.
I've actually dried this product review (review here) and I really liked it. I used to hear a lot of people rave about this when they used it with their Clarisonic so I definitely want to give that a try!
Essie All in One Base and Top Coat and Essie Nail Polish in Fifth Avenue
From pretty pinks to classic red, you will have received one of Essie's top selling nail polishes. Apply two coats of the feminine shade and then finish with a slick top coat for a high shine, longer lasting mani.
I have made no secret of my love for Essie nail polishes (see swatch and review post here, even though my collection has grown quite a bit since) so I'm really excited to have two more full sized polishes to add to my collection. Along with their nail colours, I also really love their Grow Stronger Base Coat and Good to Go Top Coat so I'm really inretested to see how All in One compares!

That's everything I received in my first ever The Parcel box from Marie Claire. I have bought the Seasonal Subscription so I can't believe I managed to get all of the items above for just $25.00. It's such great value, don't you think? In case you're interested, see pricing and purchasing options below!

I am so excited to receive my Autumn and Winter boxes. The cooler months are my favourites so I can't wait to see what The Parcel brings me!

What do you think of The Parcel? Would you consider subscribing? What's your favourite beauty subscription service?

  1. Wow that looks like the best beauty box I've ever seen! I've never heard of it before though. What a great box for such good value :) With the CC cream I would definately pass it on, if it doesn't suit your skin tone, it might look a fit strange which is never good! Paris xx

  2. There are so many spelling/typographical errors in this post. Please proof read next time. I liked this box as well, and had to pass the cc cream on to a darker friend.
