Shopping My Stash #1 ft. Too Faced, Stila, Tarte, Anastasia and Maybelline

Whether your collection is big or small, i's very easy to become stuck in a make up rut of sorts, reaching for that same products daily and rocking a very similar look everyday. Not only do I find myself losing my creativity for make up when get stuck in a routine but, of course, I'm not rotating the products in my collection like I should be. I'm making more of a conscious effort to mix up my daily rotation so I thought I'd show you what I've been playing with lately.

Too Faced À La Mode Eyes & Natural Eye Palettes
These palettes are super different but equally beautiful. The A La Mode palette contains the most amazing selection of pink, coral and brown shades that I've found surprisingly wearable (been rocking a coral eye a bit lately - who wants a photo?). The name says it all but their Natural Eye Palette is just a great natural palette. The packaging is a bit bulky so I never found myself reaching for it but, now that I do, I can't imagine not using it!

Tarte Amazonia Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface
I uploaded a full review of this blush yesterday but, basically, for the longest time, I didn't think I liked this blush so I didn't reach for it. In an effort to use my collection, I pulled this blush out for the first time recently and I cannot understand why I haven't always loved this. I'm well and truly on the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush bandwagon now!

Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten
This is a product that I've not started using yet, but one that I want to pull out more often. This beautiful highlighter has two shades, one pink and and one champagne, and I don't understand why I don't reach for it more. Sometimes I would find the pans too small to fit my fan brush in so I just didn't reach for it. Now that I use a small tapered brush to highlight, I need to dig this out more often.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
When my brows are well groomed they're really not that unruly and, as such, I don't find myself reaching for a brow gel as often as I should. I definitely like my brows so much more when I use it so I've put it right next to my favourite brow products to remind myself!

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner
When it comes to eyeliner, liquid or otherwise, I fluctuate more than a yo-yo. I go through phases where I wear non, only pencil or only liquid but, at the moment, I'm loving all eyeliner. I was going through a pencil phase a while back but, right now, this eyeliner is a staple in my make up routine so I can use it up before it dries out.

I'm finding it really refreshing to be going through my make up collection and, even though I'm making a huge mess, I'm discovering a bunch of new and old favourites. It's definitely just like shopping! I was thinking of creating a Face of the Day post with some, if not all, of the products (including the infamous coral eye look) so let me know if you'd like to see that!

How do you make sure you use everything in your collection? Do you have to rotate your products?

  1. I've been trying to shop my stash a bit more too, but it's very hard to wear a lot of my stuff since there is a no makeup rule at my school! Hopefully I'll get a tonne more use out of everything once I'm in uni. The two Too Faced palettes seem gorgeous, I absolutely love the shades in the a la mode one. I love the corally pinks!

  2. I haven't really been buying much lately so I've been sticking to some older products. I feel like my collection is getting to an extensive point and I need to reduce! I love your picks though, particularly that Tarte blush! <3
