Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm Review and Swatches

The Sleek MakeUP iDivine palettes are really raved about in the beauty community, especially by beauty bloggers and vloggers living in the UK. The palettes are said to be of great quality and are super affordable, making them such a winner worlwide. I picked up quite a selection of Sleek MakeUP products last year (haul here) and, ever since then, I've been meaning to write a review of the Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm, one of two iDivine Eyeshadow Palettes that I picked up.
The Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm is a neutral(ish) eyeshadow palette consisting of three matte and nine shimmer eyeshadows. This palette contains some neutral shades, as I suggested, but it also features some jewel tones which can easily amp up a look to create something a lot more dramatic.

The first row in the Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm is more neutral, subtle shades. The first is a gold/cooper shade which makes a beautiful lid colour, followed by a white champagne shade which is amazing for the inner corner. The third shade is a warm toned matte shade (similar to MAC's Wedge) with a true gold shade next to it. The fifth shade in the top row is a shimmery rose gold shade with a cranberry shade with copper reflects living next to it. The final two shades in the top row are two of my favourites in the whole palette.

As you can see, the bottom row of this palette is a lot more intense and there are a lot of beautiful jewel tones included. The first shade in the bottom row is a dark bronze shade, followed by a slate blue/grey (less turquoise than it appears in this swatch). The third shade is a  rich emerald green shade with a sapphire blue next to it. The fifth shade in the bottom row is another matte brown, this time a lot darker than the first, which is followed by a matte black.

All of the shades in the Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm are incredibly pigmented! Regardless of how they look in the pan, they are super smooth and apply so nicely on to the lid. The matte shades in this palette require a little more work to blend out but that's a universal characteristic of matte shadows and definitely not exclusive to the Sleek palettes. The shimmer shades apply beautifully with a fluffy brush (MAC 217 and the like...) but I find they're amazing when packed onto the lid with my ring finger - it adds so much dimension and enhances the shimmery finish that's oh-so-beautiful.

Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette are housed in sleek (see what I did there?) matte black packaging which is quite reminiscent of that from NARS. Much like NARS' packaging, this shows up every scuff, finger print and product splash (you can even see where I wiped this one off to clean it before photos). This can be frustrating to some people but it really doesn't bother me. It doesn't effect the quality of the product now, does it?

The Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm is really great quality and if all their palettes are this good, I would recommend them all. Regardless of the others, I highly recommend Storm! These palette retail for $11.99 in the UK or $16.95 when bought directly from Lipstick Republic, an Australian owned company which I really recommend.

Have you tried this or any other Sleek MakeUP iDivine Eyeshadow Palette? What did you think of them? Let me know if there's any others I should pick up!

  1. I haven't tried any of Sleek's eyeshadows but I have read all of the raves! They sound really great quality for the price, and they have so many different shades! Storm looks gorgeous.
