Over the past 6+ months I have fallen complete in love with purple lips. Sure, I do prefer a more cool toned pink/borderline purple shade to a stand out purple (you know, wearability and all that) but I have a few super intense purples that I rock given the right situation. With Summer coming, I thought people might be inclined to reach for the super bright purples (not just for winter, you know) so it seemed like the perfect time to talk you all about some of the stand out cool pinks and bright purples in my collection.

If you're new to the purple lip world, you want to start out slow. Something like a cool toned pink is the perfect transition to the purple people eater status that you may eventually receive and these pinks are what I turn to when I want a subtle lip that still adds a bit more colour than a boring ol' nude pink.
Innoxa's Radiant Orchid Satin Sheen Lipstick* is a limited edition lip colour inspired by Pantone's Colour of the Year. It's a sheer cool toned pink shade, as the name suggests, that is so wearable and really comfortable to wear. Australis Velourlips in Lun-Dun* is a cool toned lilac pink. It is super opaque but the texture of them is a little uncomfortable (review coming soon). You're probably sick of seeing me talking about the MAC x Sharon & Kelly Osbourne Dodgy Girl Matte Lipstick but I seriously do love it! It's a cool toned lavender pink that I would highly recommend if you can snag it on eBay!
If you're feeling like upping the anti a little, a cool toned plum shade makes a great transition! Maybelline Color Elixir Creamy Lip Lacquer in Raspberry Rhapsody is a cool toned dark pink with a slight shimmer to it. Australis Pout Paste in Berry Nice* is a dark magenta purple.
If, however, you've progressed to full on purples, I have five picks to share with you. For a true purple lip, you can't go past the Ulta3 Lip Paint in Loud Purple*. Another true purple is Shanghai Suzy Miss Ally which has an amazing grape Hubba Bubba scent.
The last three shades look a lot more plum in the swatches than they do in real life where they're a lot more purple! Revlon's Colourbust Matte Balm in Shameless is a pink/purple berry shade that definitely resembles a more purple toned version of MAC's Rebel. Posionberry from Limecrime is another berry toned purple lipstick that has a bit of a metallic sheen running through it - to be honest, I can't decide if the metallic finish makes it more or less wearable! Finally we have MAC Lorde Pure Heroine. As the name suggests, this lipstick was released in collaboration with Lorde and resembles her signature purple lip! This is a deep plum shade that, again, was limited edition but I'm sure you can pick it up somewhere.
Though I have a few other cool toned pink/bright purple lip products (honourably mention to NYX's Butter Gloss in Meringue which is absolutely beautiful), these are my top picks and the lip colours that I highly recommend to anyone and everyone! Just for your reference, I'm on the hunt for a good cool toned pink lip liner but I love to team the deeper/berry toned lip colours with MAC's Currant Lip Liner.
