Top Brow Products | August 2014

A few years ago I didn't realise the importance of well groomed brows. Sure, I got them waxed but that was about it. I didn't comb them and I certainly didn't fill them. What was the point? Once, on a whim, I filled them in with MAC's Wedge Eyeshadow and, ever since then, I've been hooked. Fast forward to today, a few years later, and I've managed to accumulate a selection of really great brow products.
For more details on my top brow products, keep reading!

My Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Skinny Brow Pencil is one of the oldest and most loved brow products in my collection. I wear this product in Medium Ash and I'm onto my second or third pencil. This eyebrow pencil is really precise, meaning that the product applies exactly where you want it and create hair like strokes. The colour is perfect, it wears well and it's just really nice to use.

Next up I have two very similar products, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and MAC's Fluidline Brow Gelcreme. They both have super long names, don't you think? I think these are really similar products. They're both creamy, though the MAC is more creamy than Anastasia's, and they work as a gel type product. Both of these brow products apply really nicely with an angled brow brush and blend in really nicely with my natural brow hairs. The colours I have are quite different (I have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown and the MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Dirty Blonde) but I both find them to be really nice when applied. I recently dyed my hair a bit darker so I've been opting for Anastasia's at the moment.

Last up is Benefit's Gimme Brow. This only comes in two shades and I wear the darker of the two, Medium/Dark. This product is absolutely fantastic. Benefit's Gimme Brow is a tinted brow gel with small fibers in it which enhances and adds volume to them. The colour is great, it's really effective and provides great hold. Not only do I like to use this product to set my brows when I've filled them with something else listed above but it's also really great as a standalone product on lazy days.

At the moment I have been using three of these products at once. I shape and fill in the middle and ends of my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. After that I lightly run my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Skinny Brow Pencil through the inside of my brows to add shape and blend it into the pomade. Finally, to set everything, I very lightly brush my Benefit Gimme Brow through to set everything!

I have a lot more product products in my collection but these four are, without a doubt, my favourites. I highly recommend each and every one of them and I use them all on a regular basis, depending on my brow needs.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you use in your brows? Let me know!

    1. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is a little more time consuming than Benefit's Gimme Brow but they're both fantastic. I think they're a great duo when used together or individually. X

  2. I have tried and love both Anastasia brow wiz and Benefit Gimme Brow. Benefit Gimme Brow has definitely become my favourite brow product of all time. I love that it's a standalone product for lazy days (or in my case, almost everyday).

    1. The Anatasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz is the brow pencil I've ever tried and I honestly can't see a new to try any other! Gimme Brow is great for natural days and lazy days. It's also the only brow product I use when mine are unruly and need taming. I It's just a great all rounder! X

  3. Such popular products!! I haven't used any of those, might be a bit expensive for me. At the moment, I'm using the Australia Brow Kit and Maybelline Master Shape (but in the original waxy pencil).

  4. Great picks! All of them are on my wishlist! Haha, I'm definitely hoping to pick up Gimme brow because I like the idea of it having fibres to help thicken up the brows, which I know I definitely need. I also really want to try the Anastasia Pomade, it seems like the lasting power would be awesome.

  5. Brow Wiz and Gimme Brows are my two go-to products every day, though I apply it a bit differently. I tend to shape using Brow Wiz and then 'set' with the Gimme Brows! I'm dying to try the Pomade though!
