The Open Mascara Edit #2

A few months ago I launched a new series, The Open Mascara Edit, where I give you a brief rundown of my current open mascara stash because, as it turns out, I really like options when it comes to mascara. My current open mascara collection is quite different to last time (only featuring one mascara that I'm sucking every last bit of product from) and it includes a few absolute hits, a couple that I'm a little indifferent about and one that I really would not recommend.
To see what I think of these mascaras, keep reading!
Benefit They're Real!
This mascara is such a hyped about product in the beauty community. It's the second deluxe sample I've used and, I must say, I do like it. This mascara gives the effect of volumised lashes that are really enhanced in length. It separates them quite a bit which doesn't always make them look as full as they are but I really like the way it makes them look!
Would I repurchase it? Sure!

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
This mascara is formulated especially for the bottom lashes. It has a tiny wand that allows the user to wiggle the product onto every single lash. This mascara is also one of the only mascaras that I can freely use on my bottom lashes without the product rubbing on my under eye area and transferring. I have a full review of it here
Would I repurchase? Sure would! It's my third tube and I really love it.

Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara
This is a double ended mascara, as I'm sure you can see from the photo. The upper wand is designed for volumising the top lashes, whilst the bottom wand is designed to enhance lower lashes. I found that the upper lash mascara made it look like it only had about four lashes which, of course, isn't ideal. The lower lash mascara is actually quite nice and somewhat comparable to the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara so I use that end up!
Would I repurchase? Nope. If I did it would be for the lower lash end only

Essence The Lash Curler Volume & Curl Mascara*
A few weeks ago I wrote about this mascara on my Facebook page, only to find out a few days later that it was never actually released for sale here in Australia. This mascara makes my lashes look full, voluminous and oh-so-fluttery. I won't talk about it too much as it's not available but it's a real winner.
Would I repurchase this? I most certainly would but, unfortunately, it's not available to purchase

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara
This is one of my all time favourite mascaras, if not my actual favourite. It has a very similar effect to the Essence The Lash Curler Volume & Curl Mascara* but, if it's possible, it's even better.
Would I repurchase this? Yes! The cost ($48.00) prevents it being an every day mascara but I would!

Innoxa Lust Lash Conditioning Mascara*
This mascara gives a really natural look to the lashes, enhancing the lash and adding volume without being anything too intense. It's a great everyday mascara. It's said to provide condition to your lashes with continual use but, with my current open mascara collection, I never reach for the same mascara two days in a row so that's a bit difficult to measure. I'll be uploading a full review of this soon(ish).
Would I repurchase? Sure. It's not a favourite but it's a good basic staple.

Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Dramatic Impact & Graphic Precision
This mascara, along with the Benefit They're Real!, came in a Sephora Lash Stash that I bought last year. It's an okay wand that provides a decent about of volume and precision. It's not awful but not great. One gripe that I have with this mascara is the wand, it's huge. You know the type that is so big it makes a mess all over the eyeshadow? Yep, that's the one!
Would I repurchase? Nope, it's not very readily available in Australia and I just don't think it's worth the hunt

As you can see, I'm still a mascara junkie. I don't even know how or when this happened. I swear I used to only have one mascara open at a time, guys! After taking this photo I've discovered another mascara favourite so stay tuned because I'll be writing about that soon!

How many mascaras do you have open at a time? Have you tried any of these?

*This product was sent to me, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review
