FOTD // Golden Bronze Eyes ft. Urban Decay Naked Palette

I've really been embracing bronze and gold toned eyeshadows at the moment. I'm not sure why but I've rekindled my love for a bit of a darker eye (let's not get carried away - it's still quite subtle in the scheme of things) of late and I feel like the Urban Decay Naked Palette is the perfect palette to create such a look.

If you want to know how I created this look, keep reading!

I reached for a few old favourites when creating this look, with the first being Hourglass' Veil Mineral Primer. I then buffed L'Oreal's True Match Foundation in N2 all over my face, concealed dark circles and pigmentation with my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer and set everything with Too Faced's Primed and Poreless Loose Powder (not shown in photo). You're all probably sick of seeing this combination of products but, hey, it's what I use.

My brows were a combination of two Anastasia Beverly Hills products, the Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown and the Brow Wiz Skinny Brow Pencil in Medium Ash. I like to start off with the pomade and fill in the outer three quarters of my brows, creating a slightly more defined arch and shape. When I'm happy with them I like to run a bit of the Brow Wiz through the middle. I find it's a lot more subtle than the pomade and it ties everything together really nicely.

My cheeks were a combination of a few old favourites with one or two new additions to my collection bits thrown in for good measure. I lightly buffed NARS' Laguna Powder Bronzer around the perimeter of my face with a large duo fibre brush. To add some more definition I lightly contoured with the Face of Australia Glamazon Contour & Highlight Kit and my NARS ITA brush. To add some colour back into my cheeks I patted a bit of NARS' Matte Multiple in Anguila and set it with MAC's Cheeky Bugger Powder Blush.

Like always, I primed my lids with MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly to even out the skin tone and create a great base for my shadow. The Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Golden Bronze was the absolute perfect base for this look. This product is absolutely fantastic and I really recommend them if you can get your hands on it! All of the eyeshadows for this look came from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I started off by buffing Naked into the crease to act as a transition colour. I then patted Smog all over the lid and worked Darkhorse into the outer corner. To add a bit more dimension to the look I patted a small amount of Half Baked on the inner corner. I don't normally line my waterline with anything but a flesh toned liner but I decided to smoke things out a bit more by lining with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Smog. For mascara I wore an old favourite that is, unfortunately, on its way out, the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Mascara

Last but not least, I threw MAC's Coral Bliss lipstick on.

And there's another look! I've been recreating this look a lot lately and I really love it. I feel like this look is a lot nicer and more dramatic in person but it just wouldn't translate to photo, no matter how hard I tried!

What do you think? How do you wear bronze shadows? What's your favourite?
