Face primers are an oily skinned girl's best friend. I'm always putting primers to the test to see what works best for my skin type and what will keep my make up on the longest. Earlier this year the Essence All About Matt! Oil Control Make Up Base* arrived on my doorstep. I've been putting it to the test recently so I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts!
When applied under my foundation, the Essence All About Matt! Oil Control Make Up Base* does a great job of preventing shine and ensuring that my foundation stays all day long. I've tried it with a few different foundations of late and found that the results have been very similar with them all, meaning you don't need to be too picky about what foundation you pair this with. Yay!
In my opinion my pores aren't overly huge so I can't quite tell if it refines them. It definitely has a subtle tightening feel to the face so many that's the pore refining technology doing its thang - you tell me.
I don't have a whole lot to say about this product other than it really works. Though I've been reaching for it on and off lately, I know it's something that I will gravitate towards a lot more as the weather heats up because we all know that's when our faces like to become a grease ball.
The Essence All About Matt! Oil Control Make Up Base* comes is a 20mL tube (smaller than the standard 30mL for foundations and primers) and retails for $5.75. It can be bought from Priceline and Target stores, as well as anywhere else that you may be able to find Essence products worldwide.
Have you the Essence All About Matt! Oil Control Make Up Base*? What did you think of it? What is your favourite mattifying face primer?
This primer sounds pretty great, and for the price, it seems like it's definitely worth giving a go!

I agree! X
DeleteThis definitely seems like a good mattifying product for a good price. How is it for pores?
ReplyDeleteHi, Natasha! As I said in my review, I don't have huge pores so I might not be the best person to comment but I definitely think it tightened everything. :) x
