A couple of times a year Priceline treats us by offering 40% off haircare, skincare or cosmetics and last week it was time for 40% off haircare. On the 12th and 13th of this month all haircare (excluding hair electrical, hair accessories and baby hair products) were on sale so, of course, I took the opportunity to pick up a few new bits 'n' pieces, as well as stocking up on a few haircare essentials of mine!
Detoxifying shampoos are my 'thing' at the moment (hello, Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo) so I decided to grab the Herbal Essences Drama Clean Shampoo. This is so much more affordable than the Bumble and Bumble Shampoo I love so much so if I end up liking it I'll be a happy lady. I've been using the Toni & Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Damaged Hair recently and I'm quite liking it so I decided to grab another. This shampoo's quite gentle on my colour treated and damaged hair but it also gets it nice and clean. The night before I went shopping I had the 'can I go one more day without washing my hair?!?!' debate, resulting in a lot of dry shampoo being used. It was then that I realised that I was out of tinted dry shampoos and, as much as I love my Batitste Wild dry shampoo, the white tint it was leaving in my dark hair was not a good look. To prevent myself from ever getting into that situation I picked up a few bottles of tinted dry shampoo; two of the Batiste Dark & Deep Brown and one of the Batiste Medium & Brunette. I didn't know which would be better so I grabbed both. To add to my collection of detoxifying shampoos, I also bought the Toni & Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Advanced Detox. I've almost finished a bottle of this previously and, again, it gives me an intense clean that I'm really happy with. Finally I picked up a tube of a haircare essential of mine, the Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm. I can't even begin to remember how many tubes of this I've gone through!
So that's my Priceline 40% off haircare haul and I think I did pretty well! I don't think I went overboard but I'm happy to have stocked up on some haircare essentials. I don't think I'll be needing to go hair product shopping for a while, don't you? I'm also happy to report that I didn't buy one single make up product - Damn you, Beauty Diet!
What do you think of the products I picked up? Did you take advantage of the 40% off sale? What did you buy?
I love Herbal Essences! I gotta try Toni & Guy one day, they're so raved about.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just realized I was following your other bloglovin link and not the one on your actual blog page, so now I am! :) xx

Would you believe me if I said this is the first Herbal Essences product I ever recall using? Having a hairdresser for a sister, supermarket brand haircare was always off limits! The few Toni & Guy products I've used have been really nice so I would definitely recommend them as a brand. Thanks for following, Sheri! X
DeleteI would love to know how you find the Herbal Essences shampoo. I bought it a few months ago because it looked really nice and while the smell was amazing, it made my head itch like crazy! I hope the same thing doesn't happen for you but I'm keen to see if I'm the only one with a strange reaction to it!

Hey, Dani. How long was it before your hair started having a reaction? I've used it twice now and I haven't noticed my head itching. You've got me scared now! I'll definitely keep you posted and thanks for the warning. X
DeleteI think I was using it for about 2 weeks before I had to stop. I hope it's just me, I do have quite a sensitive scalp and I was really sad because it was such a nice shampoo!
DeleteGreat haul hun! I love the dry shampoo for the brunettes! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, girl! I'm loving it too. X
