Monthly Beauty Favourites | June - August 2014

Being so unwell for so long, I haven't uploaded a beauty favourites post since May, eek! You know what that means, don't you? There are so many bits 'n' pieces I have been loving over the past few months and I have a crap load of beauty products to share with you today. I'm not going to do a big introduction because this post will be long enough so let's just get into it!

I've been reaching for my Urban Decay Naked2 palette so much over the past few months. It has such a great selection of warmed toned eyeshadows that I feel look so nice against my blue/green eyes. I've created a Face of the Day posts recently so you can see how I wear the palette here and here.

MAC's Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Dirty Blonde was a staple in my make up routine, especially in June and July. It's such a great consistency and such a beautiful colour for my brown hair, but I have seen it work so well on people with many different hair colours. I've been using a few different brow products lately as my freshly dyed hair is even darker but, honestly, it's a beautiful product.

I have three Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks but I definitely reach for Rose Gold and Amethyst the most. These two really lovely cream stick eyeshadows make great eyeshadow bases. Eyeshadow sticks to them really well and I've found they enhance colours really nicely. I haven't worn these alone yet but I'll be sure to report back on how they perform in that situation too!

NARS' Matte Multiple in Anguilla has been my blush of choice for so much of August, as you may be able to tell if you follow my Instagram and look at the Face of the Day photos I upload. The warm light pink shade is, of course, absolutely lovely and even though it has a matte finish it's not dry at all and it blends seamlessly.

I have made absolutely no secret of my love for MAC's Dodgy Girl, a limited edition lip colour from the MAC x Sharon & Kelly Osbourne Collection. This pink toned lavender lipstick with a matte finish is absolutely incredible. I knew I'd like it, just not this much, and I cannot get enough of it. I am so disappointed that it's a limited edition lip colour.

As far as hair oils go, the Kerastase Elixir K Ultime* has really impressed me lately. This really light hair oil has made my dry and colour damaged feel a lot more hydrated. It's also reduced the frizz and, after a few weeks of use, I am loving it!

I have been appreciating two old favourites lately, Benefit's The POREfessional Pro Balm and the Estee Lauder Bold Volume Lifting Mascara. The POREfessional creates such a smooth base for make up and everything applies so seamlessly on top of it (I still love my Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer though, don't worry!). In terms of mascara, I don't think much beats my Bold Volume Lifting Mascara. It creates such amazing lashes and I love the way it makes any eye look I've created look x 10000 better!

Priming my eyes is an essential part of my make up routine, regardless of how basic or technical I want my eye look to be, however sometimes I feel like I need something a little 'more' to neutralise any colour in my lids. Cue MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly, of course. I apply this nude beige cream eye shadow over my eye primer (normally setting it with a flesh toned eyeshadow to aid in blending) and I love how it enhances any eyeshadow on top of it.

I have been using my Too Faced Primed & Poreless Loose Powder to set my foundation for such a long time now but I feel like it needs so much more love than it gets here on the blog. It creates such a beautiful matte finish that lasts on the skin so well and I could not recommend it more. I'm really interesting in picking up the pressed version for touch ups!

Finally, my skin has been a lot clearer lately (I know, yay!) so I haven't needed as much concealing, meaning that I've been reaching for my MAC Studio Finish Concealer to spot conceal with a really tiny brush. I find that this concealer is really great for targeting small areas as it blends so seamlessly.

I've been getting back into blogging this month after being quite unwell and it's definitely a favourite as well! I am back to uploading daily (with the odd skipped day due to technical issues etc) and I really enjoy it. I love sharing product recommendations and ideas with you and I love reading all of your amazing comments!

I am really sorry that this has been such a long Monthly Beauty Favourites post, everyone. As I said, it's been a long time coming so there's a lot of things I've really wanted to talk to you about lately. I could have even listed more, can you believe?

Have you tried any of these beauty products? What did you think of them?
What is on your Beauty Favourites List at the moment?
