People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream* Review

Being 21, almost 22, I tend to rely on eye creams to moisturise and hydrate the under eye area, rather than to perform any sort of anti ageing miracle. There are a few different hydrating and brightening eye creams that I've enjoyed in the past (Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, I'm looking at you), and a few that I will steer clear of for the rest of my days (this time I'm looking at Origins' Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream). I mentioned in my Post Hospital Skin Picks post that I was really enjoying the People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream*, the newest eye cream to hit my skincare collection.

People for Plants is a relatively new skincare brand to hit the Australian market. Created by Jamie Durie, the Australian landscaper we all know, the range is designed to address one's skin issues associated with climate, age and skin sensitivity. All products have a high level of certified organic ingredients which are said to be sourced 'directly from nature based on their key benefits'. No product in the People for Plants retails over the recommend price of $30.00 so it's a very affordable and accessible range.

The People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream* is an eye cream that is said to bright, revitalise and hydrate the under eye area. It is quite light and thin in texture, meaning that it's the perfect eye cream to use as part of a morning skincare routine as it does effect make up applied over the top. My information tells me that the this product contains 91.4% certified organic ingredients which include calendula, chamomile, kakadu plum and milk-thistle. 

I have been using the People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream* for over a month now and I'm really impressed by it. I started off using it twice a day. I found it was hydrating enough to be used morning and evening and it wasn't too heavy for the delicate under eye area. I've now started using it in the morning only so I can work through my Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado and, as I said above,  I think it's the perfect morning eye cream because of how light and emollient it is. 

I am quite prone to a dry under eye area and I have not experienced that since using People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream*. I also have extremely sensitive skin, as I make reference to quite frequently on this blog, and I've not reacted to this product at all. In fact, I find it to be quite soothing and refreshing. 

The packaging of the People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream* is ideal. It is a tube that has a nice sized nozzle so I am always able to dispense the correct amount of product. I much prefer this type of packaging to a pot because so many good skincare ingredients deteriorate when exposed to light which, of course, product in a pot is every time it's opened. 

The People for Plants Kakadu Plum, Calendula & Chamomile Eye Cream* is available for purchase now, retailing for $19.95 for a 15mL tube. The People for Plants range is currently available from David Hones, Terry White, Priceline stores and selected pharmacies.
