FOTD // Let's Get Naked

Not long after the Rimmel London BB Cream Matte* arrived on my door step I decided to create a whole face look so I could see how it wore throughout the day. I wasn't doing anything special but, seriously, when has that ever stopped me applying a full face of make up? Yup, never! This look is pretty basic and there's nothing that exciting to it but I'm trying to get into Face of the Day posts again and working out the best places to photograph my completed looks. It's harder than it sounds!

Anyway, let's see how I turned the products above into a face!

To prime I used Hourglass' Veil Mineral Primer, the only primer I reach for at the moment and I, of course, used Rimmel London BB Cream Matte in Light*MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 was used to conceal a few big blemishes and I threw Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer in #15 Fair under my eyes to hide the fact that my sore leg's been keeping me up! I'm loving loose setting powders lately and I used Too Faced's Primed & Poreless Loose Powder to set everything.

Too Faced's Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer was used to add a bit of colour to my face and then I thew a tiny bit of Essence's Silky Touch Blush in #10 Adorable onto my cheeks, even though you can barely see it in the photos. To define my eyes I filled my brows in using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Skinny Brow Pencil in Medium Ash. This brow pencil is my go to brow product and I love using it to fill in my brows without making them look too harsh.

This is probably sounds ridiculous but, after owning the Urban Decay Naked2, palette for quite some time now, the day I created this look was the first I used it - eek! I'm wearing Foxy all over the lid (from lash line to brow bone), Tease in the crease, Bootycall and Chopper all over the lid and Tease and Snakebite in the outer corner. I used Maybelline's Master Precise Liquid Liner to create a really tiny line to define my lashes and the Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Topaz on my waterline to brighten up my look. The newest mascara in my collection, Innoxa's Lush Lashes*, was used. I really like how natural but defined my lashes look with this mascara.

Finally, I kept the lip look quite simple. This look was about testing a base. I lined and filled my whole lip in with Too Faced's Perfect Lips Lip Liner in Perfect Nude and then, to add a bit of shine, I threw Maybelline's Color Elixir in #065 Caramel Infused on top.

So, that's what I created. As I said, it's nothing too exciting or creative but it was a good opportunity to play around with the BB Cream, Naked2 palette and, of course, the long awaited Maybelline Color Elixirs!  I actually ended up going out for dinner in this make up and I swapped the lip colour out for the Maybelline's Color Elixir in #015 Mandarin Rapture to add a bit more colour to the look. I really liked this option too but, unfortunately, it was too dark to take a pic. Next time!

What do you think of this look? Is it something you'd wear out? What kind of look would you like to see from me next?

  1. Your eye makeup is gorgeous! Your eyebrows look great too.
Photographing FOTD photos is so hard for me too, my photos never turn out as good as I hope.

  2. Love the eyes! That is one thin line, haha! Your lashes do look really lovely - so long and fluttery! I've been really quite enjoying the Caramel Infused elixir!
