Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette* Review and Swatches

It can be really difficult to find a nice neutral palette in Australia, especially at such an affordable price point, and today I'm here to tell you what I thought of the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette*In this post here I mentioned that I was captivated by a few new products from Essence, one of them being the All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette. More recently I was sent one of these palettes from Essence's PR company so I've kept that one for an upcoming giveaway.

The Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette* has six eyeshadows in it. All of the shades are quite shimmery, though some have a more satin finish. There is a fairly decent selection of colours with the palette featuring a few highlight shades, some beauty lid colours and two deep and rich colours which can be used to darken and enhance and look created with the palette.

As you can see from the swatches above, the eyeshadows in the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette* are all quite pigmented. Each swatch was taken over a primer which I have definitely found works in their favour, however they're not awful without one. I don't think they'd last well without a primer though, if I'm honest. The first four shades appear to be quite similar, however they do appear more different when on the eye.

In terms of quality, the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette* isn't bad. The really pale shades in the palette can occasionally blend out to nothing so they may need to be built up to achieve the desired level of pigmentation. The last two colours in the palette, a deep brown and a red toned berry brown shade, are really pigmented and of a lovely quality. As I said, they deepen up any look really nicely.

Though some may be unimpressed with the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette* packaging, I don't mind it at all. It's plastic, yes, but it's really sturdy. It doesn't feel flimsy at all and they eyeshadows are of a great size.

The Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette* is really impressive. It retails for $6.45 and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, everyday neutrals palette. This palette is available from Essence stands at Priceline and Target as well as another palette from the range, All About Candies.

Have you tried the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette*? What's your favourite neutral eyeshadow palette?

*This product was purchased by me, however I received another which I have kept for a giveaway

  1. I love lighter shades like the first four, so easy and natural to sweep over the lid. Essence has been really good with their new releases!
