Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara Review

With my Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara coming to an end, I dug deep in my unused mascara drawer and pulled out their Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara. This mascara came in the Limited Edition Chloe Morello Lust Have It! Beauty Box and I've been dying to try it ever since. After all, the wand is intriguing.

As soon as I applied the Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara I understood what all the hype was about and now I'm here to share it will y'all!

The wand on the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara is unlike anything I've ever used before. I know I say that almost every time I review a mascara but oh well, maybe I just have a knack for choosing mascaras with unusual wands. The wand is comprised of very thin and quite short bristles on a very curved brush, something that is surprisingly easy to use. I thought it would be quite difficult but the curve matches that of my eye quite nicely so it fits and glides along the lashes with ease.

As you can see from the photo above, the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara gives me quite defined and natural lashes. I really like the way is defines each lash and adds volume without making them look clumpy or 'overdone. I feel like the unique shape of the wand adds a lot of volume to the outer lashes, contributing to the 'Cat Eyes' name.

I have the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara in Glam Black and, like all black mascaras from Maybelline, I'm really impressed with how dark it is. It doesn't smudge on my top lashes, however I do find that my lower lashes will occasionally smudge. This doesn't surprise or upset me too much though, most mascaras do.

The Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara is available anywhere that sells Maybelline products and retails for $19.95. It is another great 'drugstore' mascara and I'd highly recommend it.
