FOTD // MAC Tan Pigment

When the seasons change and the Northern Hemisphere enters the warmer weather, out rolls the abundance of Spring and Summer make up looks/tutorials in my YouTube feed. So many of the looks I've seen so far this season have featured MAC's Tan Pigment, prompting me to pull this bad boy out of my collection and give it another shot. I used Tan, as well as a bunch of other products, to create a fresh look to wear to my nephew's fourth birthday party and I liked it so much I wanted to share it with everyone.

For my base I started with Hourglass' Veil Mineral Primer with L'Oreal's True Match Foundation over the top. These products work really well together and create a lovely base. I rediscovered the Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles in the brightening shade and I love how it conceals and brightens my under eye area. I then concealed any darkness, pigmentation or face nasties with MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer. To set everything, Too Faced's Primed & Poreless Loose Powder was once again what I reached for.

I forgot to include what I used for my brows in this picture but I'll just tell you - I filled them in with MAC's Wedge Eyeshadow and then set everything with the Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark.

To add some colour and shape back to my face, a selection of products were used. First I used a tiny bit of NYX's Taupe Blush to contour slightly. I used NARS' Laguna Powder Bronzer one a large duo fibre brush to warm up the perimeter of my face and give myself a bit of a sun kissed glow. Finally, Illamasqua's Powder Blush in Sophie added a peachy pink glow to the skin.

For my eyes, I used a few different shadows from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette on my lids (Champagne Truffle on the inner corner and a combination of Salted Caramel, Milk Chocolate and Semi-Sweet in the crease). MAC's Tan Pigment was patted onto the mobile lid for a beautiful rose gold glow. Recently I opened a new tube of one of my favourite mascaras, Estee Lauder's Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara, so, of course, I had to use it.

I rediscovered my Lime Crime lipsticks recently thanks to this post by Sweetaholic Beauty so I dug out Babette, a lipstick that was actually gifted to me by Jasmine, Sweetaholic Beauty herself!

What do you think of this look? Are there any products you'd like to see reviewed? What have you already tried? Have you tried MAC's Tan Pigment?

  1. Loveee that lip colour on you! I need to try out more Lime Crime lipsticks. I feel as though the two shades I have don't do the line justice!
