Illamasqua Haul | March 2014

Illamasqua is one of those make up brands that I've always lusted after. Their products are always raved about in the beauty world and seeing so many successful YouTubers (Pixiwoo, I'm looking at you) use their products on such a regular basis does nothing to appease my desire. Sure, I have a few pieces from their line but, given that there's no counter in Western Australia, I don't have much and there are so many products I want to try.

I recently placed a fairly substantial order through their website and today I'm here to show you all the goodies I picked up! For anyone who thinks I've broken No Make Up Buying March, please rest assured knowing that everything was bought pre March 1!
The Matte Primer really appealed to me. I have combination/oily skin and I'm really looking forward to seeing how this goes at controlling shine! I have two powder blushes from Illamasqua already and I really love them so, naturally, I had to pick up a new one. I grabbed Tremble this time, a lovely cool toned peachy pink. Finally for the face I grabbed Illamasqua's Gleam, a cream highlighter, in Aurora. It's a beautiful champagne colour and I absolutely love that name!

I have been so impressed with the Illamasqua lip products I tried previously (read about it here) so I decided to buy a few more lip bits! I picked up two lipsticks, Plunge and Fable. Plunge is a cool toned baby pink, whilst Fable is a more rosy shade. Both are quite pale on the lips and have a matte finish. I also bought a lip pencil in Power which I think will be perfect for my coral lip days.
Both the Cream and Pure Pigments are both really well reviewed so, once again, I had to see what the hype was all about. Hollow and Androgen are two beautiful Cream Pigments that I think will work really well on the cheeks. Hollow is a cool toned brown that's apparently amazing for contouring and Androgen is a coral, the exact colour I like to wear on my cheeks. I bought one Pure Pigment also, Beguile. Beguile is a pale, almost white, shimmery colour that has a beautiful sparkle to it. I think it'd adds something beautiful to any eye look.

Cream Pigment in Androgen | Cream Pigment in Hollow | Pure Pigment in Beguile | Gleam in Aurora | Powder Blush in Tremble
Lipstick in Plunge | Lipstick in Fable | Lip Pencil in Power

So far I am really impressed with absolutely everything I've ordered. I think everything has such a beautiful texture and is so nicely pigmented. Expect to start seeing these products soon, especially Face of the Day posts!

Have you tried any of these products before? What would you like to see in a Face of the Day?

  1. Lovely haul! I've been wanting to try more Illamasqua for ages - especially because their prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to read your reviews, particularly on the highlighter, that's been on my wishlist fo-eva!

    1. If Thank you. It was a very exciting one for me, let me tell you. I know what you mean. Illamasqua prices are so reasonable, with many products being similar to Revlon in terms of prices. Aurora has been on the top of my lust list for so long now and, so far, it's loved up to my expectations. X
