FOTD // A Day of Nothing

Last weekend I was getting ready to have a play with a few products before doing absolutely nothing so, of course, I thought it'd be a good idea to turn it into a Face of the Day post. This is the first time I'd picked up some of the products in quite some time so you might want to expect some new reviews coming your way next month.

On my face I used Benefit's POREfessional Pro Balm, as I have done pretty much every time I've worn make up for at least a year. I've been testing out the Australis CC Cream on and off for the past few weeks so naturally it went on my face. MAC's Studio Finish Concealer has made its way back into my daily and I can't believe I forgot how much I liked it! To set everything I used the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Loose Powder. I dug it out of my collection to make #nomakeupbuyingmarch a little easier and it's such a lovely product!

If you can guess the two cheeks products I'm wearing, I'll give you a million dollars** (and no, you can't look at the photo above - that's cheating). Rather than contouring, I just used NARS' Laguna Bronzer around the perimeter of my face to warms things up a little. I threw the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Blush in Ethereal Glow on my cheeks to try and show you all how lovely it looks but it hasn't really translated into the photo!

As always, I started my eye make up by shaping my brows slightly using the Anastasia Brow Wiz Skinny Pencil in Medium Ash. I started with a combination of Foxy and W.O.S. from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette all over my lid to neutralise any pigmentation. For some definition in the socket I also called on my favourite colour in that whole palette, Naked2. I also pulled out the NYX Wonder Pencil in Light to brighten up my water line. To brighten up my face and add some shimmer I patted L'Oreal Paris' Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige all over the lid. Being that I was going for a subtle, natural look, there was no option but to call on Maybelline's Mega Plush Mascara. I'll be honest, I also pulled out Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara for the bottom lids.

Finally, I have just two products on my lips. I started with MAC's Lip Pencil in In Synch. I really love this pale pencil but, unfortunately, it's been discontinued. I topped it with an Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake, a cult lipstick that I've been making a conscious effort to use more frequently.
I have really enjoyed working on this Face of the Day post and I'd love to start doing them more often. What do you you think?

Are there any products that you'd like to see used or any looks you'd like me to recreate?
