The Year of the Wooden Horse: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Destiny*

There is no Illamasqua counter in Perth, Western Australia, so any chance to try anything from them is amazing for me. When I was given the opportunity to try their newest nail varnish, Destiny*, I jumped, especially when I read more about the product.

The Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Destiny* is an Australian exclusive nail varnish shade that will be carried at Illamasqua counters in Myer stores. This shade has been created in celebration of Chinese New Year 2014. According to Chinese Astrology (or so I'm told..), 2013 is the year of the wooden horse. Cue Destiny.

Destiny* is a beautiful leaf green nail varnish that was inspired by the 'new life that leaves bring to wooden bark in the spring'. This gorgeous green nail varnish has gold and green glitters of all shapes which I'm told are intended to represent the unpredictability of nature.

The Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Destiny* is a really unique nail polish shade. It's not like anything else I've seen before and definitely not like anything I have in my nail polish collection. This beautiful green nail varnish is opaque after one coat, though I did two for the sake of the swatch below.
Illamasqua's Nail Varnish in Destiny* retails for $22.50 and will be available exclusively at any Myer store that stocks Illamasqua from January 14. You can also buy it directly at this link.

What do you think of this nail varnish? Have you tried any nail varnishes from Illamasqua?
