Monthly Beauty Favourites | February 2014

With another month of 2014 pretty much done and dusted, it's time I get on to what's really impressed me in the month of February. Most of these products are ones that I've not yet featured on the blog, either because they're new or I've recently fallen for them. I really love writing favourites posts where we're not talking about the same products for the millionth time so let's get into it!

In my recent skincare haul I mentioned that I picked up the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. My skin didn't really agree with it so and when I told a blogging friend she recommended I pick up the Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Calming Mist so, of course, I did. I've had it for about two weeks now and, so far, I'm really liking it (thanks, Amy). It's quite a soothing product that is formulated for sensitive skin (without alcohol) and I find that it's lovely to use after a harsh AHA.

My favourite make up look of the moment features the Illamasqua Powder Blush in Katy, L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige and MAC Lipstick in Rebel. MAC Rebel is a welcome change to the huge lip colours I've been wearing lately and, even though it's summer, I've been embracing this vampy berry shade. The L'Oreal eyeshadow is the perfect accompaniment to the lips, brightening the eye without adding any real colour. It looks amazing with Naked2 from the Urban Decay Naked Basics buffed into the crease as well. I pulled Illamasqua's Katy blush out of my collection to add a bit of subtle colour to my cheeks when sporting this look and now it's become my go to blush, regardless of the make up look.

Finally for make up, I've been reaching for my MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in Radiant Rose. I apply it under my eyes and on my forehead, blending it in with my concealer. I find that it brightens the area really nicely, whilst looking natural enough for everyday wear.

I don't feature a fragrance in my favourites every month but I couldn't ignore my love of the newest offering from Katy Perry, Killer Queen Oh So Sheer*. It's a lot sweeter than the original Killer Queen perfume (review here) and, even though I've only had it for about two weeks, it's quickly become one of my every day scents.

What were you loving in the month of February? Have you tried anything I mentioned in my February Favourites?
