Monthly Beauty Favourites | January 2014

Being the second last day in January, I do believe it's time for ye ol' monthly favourites. I know this is such a cliche favourites comment but, seriously, where did January 2014 go? It has gone so quickly! I took this month to appreciate a few old favourites in my collection, as well as fall for a new addition to my make up collection. 

It has been so hot in Perth lately. Seriously, so hot. As soon as the weather hit 30+ I pulled out an old favourite, Make Up For Ever's Mat Velvet+ Mattifying Foundation. This keeps my face matte longer than any other foundation in my collection, especially when teamed with the bareMinerals Matte spf15 Foundation. The foundation has really great coverage. NARS' Laguna Powder Bronzer and NYX's Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic are old favourites of mine but I've really been appreciating them this month. They are both so lovely and versatile products that I recommend to anyone and everyone. 

For eyes, the Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara impresses me every time I use it. I go through a lot of mascaras but this one seriously doesn't disappoint. It gives my lashes so much length and volume and separates them really nicely. At the start of January I picked up the Benefit Gimme Brow and I've been using it almost everyday since. I was using it as my brow gel after filling them in with my Anastasia Brow Wiz Skinny Brow Pencil but now that they're in desperate need of a grooming, I've been using the Gimme Brow by itself. 

The Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm featured in my Top Haircare and Hair Styling Products of 2013 post and I don't think I gave it enough love so here it is today. This treatment is absolutely lovely. I used it almost every time I wash my hair as my deep conditioner and I notice a big difference when I don't.
