Let me start this whole post by saying no, no I did not go to IMATS. I wish I did but I didn't. If you read this post though you'll know that my amazing friend Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty went and picked up some goodies on my behalf. I transferred and amount of money to her and told her to surprise me, letting her buy whatever she wanted.
From what I've heard, Sydney IMATS in September of this was super hectic and a fairly unpleasant environment to be in. Regardless, Jasmine somehow managed to grab me some absolutely amazing goodies that I can't wait to play with. With the leftover money Jasmine added a few (okay, a lot) of products I've been wanting to try to her Beauty Joint cart and now here we have a massive haul!
These goodies all arrived about two weeks ago so I've had a fair amount of time to play around with them. Where possible, I'll let you know what I think of a product.
Firstly she grabbed me two products from Lime Crime, a lipstick in Babette and Eyeshadow Helper, their eyeshadow primer. This lipstick is so beautiful and has been a regular in my handbag ever since these goodies arrived. I haven't had a play with the primer yet as I have a few to get through first but I'm sure it won't disappoint. I also got three brushes from Bdellium; 975 Mixed Powder Brush, 780 Pencil Brush and 775 Duet Fiber Shader. These are my first Bdellium brushes and I'm so excited to finally use them. I haven't yet as I wanted to keep them nice for this post!
To see what I chose from Beautyjoint, keep reading.
As I'm sure you can see, I went on a bit of a NYX rampage. I got two NYX blushes, the Powder Blush in Angel and the Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic. I've been sooo smitten with the cream blush that I haven't even pulled out the powder blush. Seriously, people, you need to get your hands on Boho Chic. There's a review coming soon. I also grabbed three of the super hyped Butter Glosses, Peaches and Cream, Apple Strudel and Vanilla Cream Pie. The hype about these lip glosses is so justified and I've already ordered a couple more. Seriously, if you're only going to buy one product from NYX now that it's stocked in Australia (eek), make it a NYX Butter Gloss. My favourite at the moment is Peaches and Cream but they're all absolutely beautiful.
Lastly from NYX I grabbed two of their Wonder Pencils, one in Light and one in Medium. I got these to see how they compare to the MAC Chromographic Penci and, even though I've only has a play with this, I think they're pretty similar. So many people rave about the Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso so I decided to add it to my cart (or at least ask Jasmine to add it to hers) so I could see what all the hype was about for myself. I've used it one or twice and so far I quite like the glow. It's perfect for summer. Jordan's Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara is another super product in the beauty community so I ordered not one, but two (the other is in my make up drawer). I think it's a nice mascara that would be a lot better if the wand didn't collect so much product. Finally I added another Wet 'n' Wild palette, Walking on Eggshells, to my collection. This seems to be such a drugstore staple for people in the beauty community and now I can see why, it's lovely.
So, everyone, that's my super gigantic haul. I am so excited with all the bits I've recently acquired and soo thankful for my amazing friend, Jasmine. Not only did she buy my IMATS goodies and order the Beautyjoint stuff (she got bits too!), she also packaged everything up so lovely and sent it to me. Thanks, Jasmine. You're on in a million.
Have you tried any of these products? What would you like me to review first?
Always look your best,
