I make no secret of my hardcore and, at times, unhealthy shopping obsession. Sometimes it's worse than others and yup, it's bad at the moment. About two weeks ago I placed a fairly good Sephora order. It wasn't too big but it was big enough that ordering from the US was worth it, it was a good mix of new and repurchased products and I was just really excited to get it .... and then the Sephora 20% OFF VIB Sale happened. I woke up the morning after placing order #1 to see that there was going to be a sale and, well, round #2 happened. Yes, it just happened.
Anyway, my reasoning is boring - Let's see what I actually bought in both orders combined. I'm going to try and get through the products with minimal explanation so wish me luck!
The bag that came with my Sephora 20% OFF VIB Sale order. Cute, no?
I grabbed two of the Sephora Favorites kits because they're such good value. The Sephora Favorites Glitz & Glam kit comes with an Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Space Cowboy, NARS Lip Gloss in Gold Digger, Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Gel Effect Plumping Top Coat, Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelèe, Lancôme Hypnôse Star in Noir Midnight, Stila Stay All Day 10-In-One HD Illuminating Beauty Balm with Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Sephora Collection False Eye Lashes in Celebrity and Too Faced 3 Way Lash Lining Tool. The Sephora Favorites Lash Stash comes with a selection 10 mascaras in varying sizes (some deluxe sample sizes and some full sized), as well as Sephora Collection False Eyelashes. The mascara brands include Benefit, Lancôme, Make Up For Ever, Tarte, Yves Saint Laurent and more!
Next up I got a little carried away with lip products, ending up with five new additions to my collection. I bought the Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner in 20C Baby Pink, Dior Crème De Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm, Marc Jacobs Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl in Paint It, Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked and Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in 1 Nude Beige. I'm really excited about all the lip products, of course, but I'm exceptionally excited to have the two new lipsticks in my collection.
I've been on a bit of a concealer rampage lately so it doesn't really surprised me that I bought two more, Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer in #6 Ivory and Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque. I'm not too sure about the colour of the corrector - I should have been colour matched before ordering. It feels a too pink and not salmon enough but we'll see. I also grabbed the Too Faced Primed, Poreless and Perfected To Go Duo. This mini was a bit cheaper than buying the full sized powder and I just wanted to try it. I love that it came with a mini brush though.
For the eyes I only got/paid for two things - I'm not sure how that happened. I picked up a new Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in Black, a product I really loved but haven't repurchased in over a year, and the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink. I'm trying to get into gel liner and felt like a super nice one would be the motivation I needed to practise/perfect the art of gel liner. Lastly I picked up the Urban Decay De Slick Makeup Setting Spray. This setting spray is meant to control oil and I'm all about that. My All Nighter hasn't been working as well lately so I thought a new formula might be worth a try.
I chose the Urban Decay Urban Essentials pack as my 500 Point Perk and I'm so excited to try the goodies. It comes with a Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray, All Night Make Up Setting Spray, Eyeshadow Primer Potion (anti ageing) and mini eyeshadow in Mushroom. This is one of the best 500 Point Perks I've seen in ages so I was stoked to get it. There are some really great ones on Sephora now though so it's worth checking them out if you have 500 points!
Finally, I got myself some more samples. They were holding a promotion where you got to choose one of three sample packs. I chose the Festive Cheery Endurance Sample Bag by accident, meaning to choose another, but I'm still super happy with the contents. I got an bunch of samples from Urban Decay, Lancome, Kat Von D, Ojon, Smashbox and more!
So, everoyne, this is my excessive Sephora haul. I really don't need anymore make up (could you tell?) so I'm thinking of getting myself another Project Pan/Spending Ban Challenge. What do you think? Is it time? I think probably. If you've tried any of these products, let me know! If you want to see any reviews, tell me that also.
