Sophie's Secret: Top Zit Zappers

Being someone who's quite prone to blemishes, I've tried so many different blemish treatments and I've finally found two that work really well for me. These are the only two blemish treatments I use and I feel that they help to manage any breakouts etc. that I get. I use two different treatments as I find different ones work best for different blemishes, but other people are lucky enough to not get those blasted 'blind' pimples. They're the worst!
To see which blemish treatments work for me, keep reading!

For white heads and surface pimples I swear by the Clean & Clear Advantage Fast Clearing Spot Gel. This product contains salicylic acid, an acne treatment my skin really responds to, which dries out the blemish. I squeeze a little of this product onto my finger and pat it over the blemish as part of my nighttime skincare routine, trying to keep the product controlled as it can be quite drying on the rest of my face, especially when used frequently. Whilst blemishes aren't gone in the morning, I find they're substantially reduced in size the next day.

For not-so-blind blind pimples I swear by the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion. This product is a God send. I used so many products targeted for blind pimples before finally finding something that worked. Huzzah! I squeeze a few drops of this product onto my finger (keeping in mind that it's very oily) and, once again, pat it over the blemish. The results from the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion are incredible. Most times, the 'blind' pimple has halved in size the first morning after application. I use it nightly until the blemish has gone and, generally, they gone within a week.

I really like both products but if I could only recommend one to you it would be the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. It's such a fantastic product and everyone I've recommend it to loves it as well.

What are your favourite acne and blemish treatments? My skin has started playing up again so I think it's time to switch up my routine a bit. Drats! Also, do you know of any masks that reduce the intensity of blemishes? Most just make me break out..

Always look your best,
Sophie

I'm always on the hunt for spot treatments but I think my skin is used to salicylic acid now.

  2. Nice post. I'll try the Clean&Clear one. I have their deep action cleanser and I love it. It controls the oil effectively. I already bought a second tube because it the greatest I have ever tried so far. :)

  7. This is really very interesting! I have been dying to get rid of my zit just above my nose. It is so much distracting. I am also ashamed to go out because I feel that the people I talk to just keeps looking on my nose. I should give that zit zapper a try! Thanks for sharing this, Sophie. -paradevices.com
