Illamasqua Powder Blush in SOPHIE Review and Swatches

Over the past few months I've featured the Illamasqua Powder Blush in S.O.P.H.I.E. on this blog so many times, whether it be in favourites posts or this FOTD. I finally decided it was probably time to share it with you all. This amazing blush was gifted to me by Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty for my 21st birthday and I couldn't be more grateful. I've used it multiple times every week since I got it.
*A very good representation of the colour*
The Illamasqua Powder Blush in S.O.P.H.I.E. is a golden coral blush with shimmer. It's very similar to NARS' Orgasm Powder Blush but, in my opinion, it looks better on my skintone. Whilst the shimmer looks quite large in the pan, it's a slight sheen when swatched and applied which prevents glitter cheeks, a huge faux pas.

I absolutely love the way this blush looks on the skin. It brightens up my face so much and the golden shimmer gives the most amazing and healthy glow. I also find that it looks so nice with almost every make up look, although i really love using this when I'm wearing a golden eye look. It's just so pretty!

I'm not a huge fan of the Real Techniques Blush Brush but, for some unknown reason, that's my favourite brush to apply this with. Don't get me wrong, the Illamasqua Powder Blush in S.O.P.H.I.E. looks good when applied with any brush I've tried it with but there's just something special about this combination.
Wearing Illamasqua Powder Blush in SOPHIE

I know this isn't a very long review but, to be honest, there's not a lot I can really say about it other than I think it's beautiful. Not only do I love the product, I also love the name and no, that's not because it also happens to be my name. This blush is named after Sophie Lancaster, a young woman from the UK whose live was cut short in an awful attack. I'm not sure how much, if any, of the price of this blush goes towards the Sophie Lancaster Foundation but I know that £3 from every Illamasqua S.O.P.H.I.E. eyeliner sold goes towards it.

Have you tried any other Illamasqua blushes? I loved this one so much I've since bought another one but you'll have to wait a few days to see that that (sorry not sorry!).

Always look your best,
Sophie
