On Sunday I headed to my local shopping centre on the premise of looking for work clothes but, if I'm being honest, I knew exactly where I'd end up. I'm now allowed to spend again and, even though I did actually want some new work clothes (and no, I didn't find anything - sad), I've been desperate to try some new products so I went straight to Priceline.
I spent a lot more than I intended too but I also got so many things from my list and, of course, a fair bit more! Oh well, when in Rome..
Maybelline Color Sensational Color Whisper in #25 Lust For Blush | Revlon Lip Butter in #027 Juicy Papaya | Essence Me & My Ice Cream Cream Blush in #01 Ice Bomb
When Jenny told me that the new Revlon Lip Butters from the Pacific Coast Collection 2013 were available in Australia, I knew I had to pick them up. I decided on just one today, #027 Juicy Papaya, because I knew I was going to spend up big but I definitely want to get the other three next time there's a sale on Revlon lip products. Ages ago I bought the Maybelline Color Whisper in Coral Ambition online but I can't find it anywhere! Lots of people talk about the Maybelline Color Sensational Color Whisper in #25 Lust for Blush so I decided it was to be mine. Finally, it would be a Priceline haul without a bit of Essence so I grabbed the Essence Me & My Ice Cream Cream Blush in #01 Ice Bomb and Hand Wipes. I wanted the Shimmer Pearls for no real reason so it's probably good they were sold out.
I've had a play around with the blush and it's so similar to what I think the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes feel like. Such an interesting concept!
The L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis polishes are some of my absolute favourites. So much so that three of these five polishes are repurchases. I have a whole review on these polishes coming soon but I bought the following colours; #208 So Chic Pink, #210 Shocking Pink, #303 Lush Tangerine, #305 Dating Coral and #602 Perle De Jade.
Priceline had $3.00 of Sally Hansen products so I had to stock up on my favourite base coat/nail treatment, the Sally Hansen Miracle Cure Strengthener. I've been getting back into gel and liquid eyeliner lately but, unfortunately, my Essence gel liner has dried out a fair bit and it's been discontinued. I picked up the Maybelline Lasting Drama by Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner but, stupidly, I got it in the wrong colour, Charcoal. It's a bit of a metallic dark grey but hopefully I can make it work. Whenever I'm in Priceline I like to stock up on the Clean & Clear Essentials Oil Control Toner because I think it works well. I actually bought two but the second bottle is holding up the gel eyeliner.
The La Roche-Posay Toleriane Eye Make Up Remover 30 Pack seemed like such a cool product that I couldn't not buy it, even though I love my Maybelline Total Clean Express Eye & Lip Make Up Remover. I also grabbed the La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Sensitive Areas Stick thinking I could use it on my face but I'm not too sure now. Does anyone have any experience with this product? Help a girl out!
I've also picked up the Maybelline BB Cream with salicylic acid but that was during a trip to Coles because I couldn't wait to try it any longer. I think Light is too light for me though so I might need to go back and grab the Medium.
What do you think of the stuff I've bought? Do you think I made up for my 50 Day Spending Ban?
Always look your best,
Sophie

Thanks, Melissa! If you're going to pick up anything from this haul, make it the L'Oreal La Vernis polishes. They're amazing quality and only $6.95. I have a review going up soon. X

ReplyDeleteI know! So exciting.
DeleteI've never tried anything from Essence but after reading your post I might pick some things up tomorrow! They look so fun to play with! You deserve to spend a little, so don't ever feel like you're over spending if you've spent so long not buying anything :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely grab some stuff. Essence is an incredible brand, especially for the price. :) Thanks for making me feel better about my spending too! :P x
