L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow Swatches and Review

I'm a palettes girl. I've always been a palettes girl. I find it a lot more convenient for eyeshadows to all be in the same place and hate reaching for a bunch of different products to create a look. I don't own too many individual shadows and, when I have five from the same range, you know they're a winner.

I'm absolutely in love with the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows. These pressed pigments are incredibly pigmented eyeshadows with a unique texture. They look absolutely amazing and apply like a dream. These eyeshadows are some of the most reached for eyeshadows in my collection and, after reviewing the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 2-Step Longwear Lipsticks, I decided it was time to share something else from that collection with you all.
#002 Hourglass Beige, #004 Forever Pink, #012 Endless Chocolat, #021 Sahara Treasure and #027 Goldmine

To read more about these shadows, keep reading!

As you can see from the swatches above, the L'Oreal Paris Infallible eyeshadows all have quite metallic/shimmer finishes, however I think I've seen one matte shade in the range but I didn't pick it up. These eyeshadows are all incredibly pigmented. The swatches above have been taken with one swipe of the product.
Like I said in above, the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows are actually pressed pigments, meaning that the product can become quite loose. As you may be able to see in the photos above, they actually come with a black stopper that can be used to push down the product and make it more compact. When I think the product is getting loose I find that one push sets it right.

To apply the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows I use a synthetic flat eyeshadow brush. In experimenting I've found that synthetic fibres pick up a good amount of product, with natural fibres barely picking up any. I've heard that the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows can be applied wet but, to be honest, I've never tried it. I don't like the feel of eyeshadows on my lids when they've been applied wet.

Surprisingly, I find that the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows blend really well, especially with each other. Whilst I always use a primer with these eyeshadows (as I do with any) I've never found them to crease. There's occasional fall out because of the unique formula, however it's very minimal and can be removed easily.

These individual eyeshadows are housed in a clear, sturdy plastic pot with a twist off lid. I have found the packaging to be quite reliable and have never had an issue with it, even when they've been beaten and battered in amongst my huge collection.

According to the L'Oreal Paris website there are sixteen shades in the Australian range, however I  often find that additional colours are released with seasonal collections, and I highly recommend you give them a try. I will definitely be adding more to my collection when I can go shopping again. They can be bought from anywhere that stocks L'Oreal Paris products and retail for $19.95 at Priceline.

Have you tried them? What are your favourite colours?

Always look your best,
Sophie

  2. I have about 12 or more of these and I adore them all! My favourites are Hourglass Beige as a highlight, All Night Blue, Burning Black which is actually a deep plum, and Innocent Turquoise, but it's like choosing a favourite child really!

    1. They're amazing, aren't they? I love Hourglass Beige. It's also a great lid colour when you're wearing a bright lip because it just brightens up the face. Burning Black is a colour I've been lusting after for ages. I think it would look great with Forever Pink. That's for the recommendations! X

  3. I have a couple of these, but I don't seem to use them that often (I have way too many eyeshadows). They're fantastic, but a little bit on the pricey side.

    1. You should have a play around with them, Amy. I think you'd love them. I agree, they're a little pricey, but you can often get them for a % off or on 3-for-2 sales. That's normally when I buy mine! X
