50 Day Spending Ban with Sweetaholic Beauty: 33 DAY UPDATE

Today is the 33rd day of my 50 Day Spenidng Ban, meaning that I only have 17 days left. Wow! Once again, this ban is a lot easier than I expected and I'm definitely not complaining about that. I'm collaborating with Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty so click here to see how she's going!
What's Tempting Me?
To be honest, I don't think there's anything that's really tempting me at the moment. Sure, I'd love to put in an order with iHerb or Sephora but that's just because I'm me and I love make up.. stuff.
I was tempted to buy a few non essential skincare products when I placed my Priceline order during their 40% OFF sale but I tried to practice some sort of self control.
I'm trying to find new nail polish storage because what I'm using at the moment just isn't cutting it. I've found something I like but it's going to cost me about $150 for two units + postage so I'm spending the next 17 days trying to find a more affordable option. I figure that I may as well use the time wisely if I can't buy it for almost three weeks anyway.
There's actually been one struggle, my handbag. My handbag is actually falling apart and desperately needs replacing. I've decided that I can buy a new one during the ban if a strap actually breaks but, for now, I'm just praying that it can hang on. I'm sad too. I love this bag. :(

What's Making It Easier?
If you saw my Parisian Beauty Haul you'll have seen all the pretties that my Mum bought back from her trip for me. That's definitely made things a lot easier. My goodness, I just love that Creme Blush by YSL (in fact, it could be dangerous). As I said in my last post, it's been a lot easier than I expected and I think that's got a lot to do with the fact that I don't really have time to shop anymore. On weekdays I'm out from about 6.40am - 5.30pm and, on weekends, I'd rather spend time with family and friends than shop. In saying that though, I'd love to spend time with them while shopping!

I'm really enjoying this spending ban and it's a lot less painful than I expected. It's nice to know I'm using products in my collection up and I'm not just being wasteful. The ban, when teamed with new full time work hours, is seeing my savings account increase at a substantial and steady rate. This means that, not only will I definitely be at IMATS next year, I can finally buy all the new furniture I really want for my blog room. Hello, blog room tour (eventually).

Don't forget to head to Sweetaholic Beauty and check out Jasmine's blog! We're doing this ban together and I know she'd really appreciate the lovin'.
Always look your best,
Sophie

  1. You're doing well! I'm having problems with storage solutions as well... but luckily there's a Muji store right around the corner from where I'm staying in Japan so I'm sitting tight haha!
Next week's Priceline 50% off sale is going to KILL US! :( haha
