For some reason, I've never really been one for body moisturises and lotions. Back in the day I tried a few very heavy body moisturisers so I decided to stay away. No one likes applying something that's the consistency of butter, do they? Ain't nobody got time for that!
Anyway, a while back I came home to find the Aveeno Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion waiting for me so decided to give it a try!

"Relieve and protect dry skin with this fragrance-free, not greasy lotion containing natural colloidal oatmeal. Clinically proven to moisturise skin for a full 24 hours, the formula also contains rich emollients to keep skin feeling hydrated and healthy for longer. Used regularly, the lotion will provide relief from chapping and scaling associated with extra dry skin. Dermatologist tested and suitable for sensitive skin."
- Aveeno Media Kit
To find out what I think of the Aveeno Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion, and whether I feel it lives up to the claims in the media kit, keep reading!
The Aveeno Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion is a very lightweight lotion. It's quite thin in consistency, meaning it absorbed into the skin quite quickly. A little goes a long way also. One of my favourite things about this lotion, though, is the fact that there's little to no residue on the skin. Yep, no grease! All that's left is beautiful and soft skin!
The packaging and Media Kit says that this product is fragrance free, something that I think is so important in a body product. So many people have negative reactions to fragranced/scented products and, in my opinion, they're so unnecessary. Anyway, while this product is unfragranced, has the faintest scent. I know I'm probably contradicting myself but it does! The smell is pretty natural (maybe it's the oatmeal?) and definitely not unpleasant. It's basically a no -smell smell, if that's even a thing.
Now to the real question; Does the Aveeno Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion work? Yep! I really love the results I get from using this product, especially on a regular basis! I find that my arms are the driest part of my body and applying this nightly after my shower has really helped that, especially on my elbows. Does anyone else have really dry elbows?
Finally, I really love the packaging of this product. The pump is so practical (I hate trying to squeeze product out of tubes etc) and makes application a breeze. Some pumps are quite restrictive, this one allows you to use your desired amount of product every time. There's no unscrewing the cap trying to get the excess back in.
I've been using this moisturiser for about three months now, give or take, and have only used about a third of the bottle. A little goes a really long way with this product so I think this is going to last me a really long time.
I'm really impressed with the Aveeno Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion and so thankful that I was given the opportunity to try it! I have a 354mL bottle of this product (which retails for $12.99), however a 225mL bottle can be purchased for $9.99. Bargain, much?
Have you tried this product? Were you as impressed as I was? Now that I've discovered that I don't actually hate body lotions, which would you recommend I try next?

I so know what you mean by a "no-smell" smell. Glad to hear it's pretty much scentless and this sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you know what I mean! Was starting to think I was going crazy. x
DeleteNice! I've been on the look out for a new body lotion since my Palmers Body Butter one is running out (I've been desperately trying to get the last bits out the last few weeks!)
ReplyDeleteI'm probably one of the only people in this world to feel this way, but I hate the Palmers Cocoa Butters etc. The smell gives me a headache and I can pick it out a mile away. I'd definitely recommend this over that! x
DeleteAs you totally already know, I'm in love with this! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat review girly
xx
I love it too! Such an amazing product and perfect for this time of year.
DeleteThanks. I love your review also. After writing mine I read yours again and, hey, we both like it for similar reasons! xx
I need to search for this lotion! :) I hope I can find this here in the Philippines! Haha! :D nice review by the way.
ReplyDeleteGreat review :) Was just wondering, would you know if this product is different from the one on their site? or is it just the packaging? :) Thank you! http://www.aveeno.com/product/aveeno+daily+moisturizing+lotion.do
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review. I’m really not fond of “no smell” lotions but on the other hand I hate lotions which are overpowering, which means that I’m in the middle.
