April Favourites, 2013

This month I haven't had as many favourites, beauty or otherwise, as I have in other months. I think that's mainly because, given my new job (a definite favourite), I've not got the opportunity to try new products. In the past few weeks I've mainly relied on tried and tested products to ensure that I can be ready and out the door in record time.

In saying that, though, there's a few new additions to my collection and, as always, I really want to share them with you all!
Revlon Colorstay Foundation | Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in #001 Flush of Pearl | Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray | MAC Studio Fix Concealer sample | MAC Well Dressed Blush | Abbamart Small Duo Fibre Stippling Brush | Abbamart Apple Blush Cheek Brush

When Revlon first released their new Colorstay Foundation with the 24hr formula, Priceline sold it at the introductory price of $20.00 for a while (I'm not sure how long, sorry). Being the shopaholic that I am I took the opportunity to try it and I'm really impressed! I haven't owned Revlon's Colorstay in quite some time so I can't really comment on how they compare but the new formula is a lot thinner and easy to work with. I'm super impressed!

Whilst the foundation is great, I've had this ginormous 'blind' pimple between my eyebrows and no concealer I own has really stayed put on it. In a desperate attempt to get some coverage, I got myself a sample of MAC's Studio Fix concealer and, wow. It's amazing. This is product I'll definitely be purchasing when this sample runs out. As an indication of how little product you need, I've had this sample for over two weeks, using it almost every day, and there's still quite a bit in it!

The Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch liquid illuminator in #001 Flush of Pearl was included in the recent Priceline Beauty Bag and it quickly become a staple in my make up routine. It's a beautiful product and, for such a great price, I definitely recommend you picking it up!

If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I've had a real issue with my foundation sitting  terribly on my skin skin lately and I'm fairly sure it's due to the powder I've been using to set my foundation, Australis' Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder. For the last week or so I've been setting my foundation with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and, after not having used it for a while, I've totally rekindled my love for it! I barely set my foundation these days and that's saying a lot.

I've owned MAC's Well Dressed powder blush for some time and have been pretty disappointed by it. It's a really sheer product and, given all the hype surrounding it, I just expected more. This month, however, it's been a go to product for me. When applied with the Abbamart Apple Blush Cheek Brush, Well Dressed adds the most beautiful glow and colour to the cheeks.

Finally, I bought the Abbamart Small Duo Fibre Stippling Brush to highlight my face but it's the most amazing contour brush for both cream and powder products. I'm definitely going to pick up a few more of this brush eventually! I really love every single brush I bought from there (click here to see my haul) but I can't feature every single one!

So that's what I've been loving this month. What have you been loving this month? As always, I really want to know! I'm a sucker for a product recommendation.

Always look your best,
Sophie
