My Make Up Collection: Cream Eye Shadows and Bases

A while ago I started a new series here on Born to Buy, My Make Up Collection. I decided that I'd share a part of my make up collection with you each week until, well, you've seen it all. This series is not about reviewing products because that would take forever but, if I've reviewed a product, I'll be sure to link it!

I'm sure this goes without saying but please don't take this series of posts as bragging. That is not my intention at all.
Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow in #02 Glammy Goes To | Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow in #06 Rock Chic* | Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow in #07 Jim-Me Blue* | Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow in #08 The Magic Must Go On* | Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow in #09 For Fairies

After taking this photo I added one final Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow to my collection, #02 Raise The Curtain For.. from the Circus Circus Trend Edition. Sorry it's not included in the post but swatches can be found on my Instagram, Borntobuy.

The Essence Stay All Day Creme Eyeshadow formula is one of my favourites. It's absolutely beautiful. The texture is quite different to a MAC Paint Pot but it's beautiful. They definitely do stay all day too! I'll be writing a full review on these quite soon. At $5.50 each, I recommend these to absolutely everyone!
Maybelline Color Tattoo by Eye Studio in #05 Too Cool | Maybelline Color Tattoo by Eye Studio in #15 Audacious Asphalt | Maybelline Color Tattoo by Eye Studio in #25 Bad to the Bronze | Maybelline Color Tattoo by Eye Studio in #40 Tenacious Teal

Out of all the cream eyeshadows I have, this is definitely my least favourite formula. I find the Maybelline Color Tattoos by Eye Studio to be quite hard (for lack of a better word). I don't think they blend well, needing a lot of work in the finger tips to become warm enough to apply. They look nice once applied, but it takes a lot of work to get them there.

I'd love to get some of the limited edition shades offered to people in the US, purely because the colours look beautiful.
Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Solstice, MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study | Designer Brands Whipped Mineral Eye Shadow in Blue (can't find a colour name) | NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in #604 Milk* and #617 Iced Mocha*

The Illamasqua Liquid Metal is one of the most beautiful products ever, both in colour and formula. Thank you again, Lizzi! MAC's Paint Pot is a great neutral base that I often accidentally overlook.

Once again, after taking these photos I added another cream shadow pencil to my collection; NARS' Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Corcovado. Again, check out my Instagram for swatches.

I've only reviewed a couple of products featured above but, as I said, I've added links to those I had. If you would like to see a review of a product, please comment below. I'd be happy to add it to my list of products to review!

Have you tried any of these Cream Eye Shadows and Bases? What did you think of them? I don't need anymore cream bases/shadows but is there any you'd recommend? I really want to pick up a couple from Sigma. They look and sound fantastic.

* - Indicates products that were provided for review or as a PR sample. These products have remained in my collection, meaning that I have not yet posted about them, I genuinely like them or both.

Always look your best,
Sophie
