Empties and What I'm Throwing Out: November, 2012 - March, 2013

I haven't uploaded an Empties post in a long time (since November actually) so, as I'm sure you can imagine, I had a lot waiting to throw out! There's only one beauty product and a couple of nail ones, all of which have been replaced. Any other cosmetic and beauty products will be featured in my next Project Pan Update post.

Aqua Marina, Ocean Salt and Tea Tree Water and a LUSH moisturiser are all part of my Skincare Routine. I'm looking at trying some new products as my skin's started losing the plot but, 'til then, this is what I go to. I really enjoyed the Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser but, at $99.95 a pot, I can't justify the lucrative price tag. A friend gave me a half empty tub of H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Moisturiser as she wasn't a fan and I totally forgot about it. The label suggests that it expired at the end of July, 2012, so I'm not willing to put this on my hair. I'm also throwing out an almost empty box of Dirty Toothy Tabs. Yes, it's the same box I featured on my blog a long time ago but I just can't get used to them. No matter how hard I try, they just feel weird and, after almost two years, it's time for them to go!

I go through nail polish remover like nobody's business. I can't imagine that is the only three  bottles of nail polish remover I've gone through in the last four/five months, however it's the only bottles I kept. To me, nail polish is nail polish. I preferred the Starlet one to the Satin, but I don't really mind as long as my nail polish eventually comes off.

I use Isocol Rubbing Alcohol as my spot cleaning solution for my make up brushes. I fill a spray bottle with Isocol and use it whenever I can/when I remember. I don't spot clean my brushes as much as I should. Oops. This product is also great for cleaning brushes while doing other people's make up.

The Garnier Pure Active Exfo Brush Cleanser is a product I used to swear by, however I haven't used it in about a year. With that in mind, this cleanser is super old so I don't really want to be putting it on my face, even in emergencies. Bye!

I received the sponge when I ordered my Large Glamour Box from The Make Up Box Shop (click here to see haul). Whilst I liked the sponge, it's now old and it's time to go.

The Maybelline Baby Lips, Swisspers Pure Softness Make Up Pads and Dove Pink Deoderant are all staples for me. I've repurchased this many times and owned far more than shown above in the past fiveish months. 

I found the candles in my blog room, a remnant from when it was my sister's bedroom. Given that she's not lived here for at least three years, going on four, I decided they're no longer needed. I like the smell of them, especially the Cherry Blossom one, however it's mostly dust and that seems like a fire hazard to me.

All of the eyeshadow pans are empty because the shadows were depotted and placed in my Z Palette. It's great to have them all in one place and I've saved sooo much space! I have some MAC shadows I need to depot but I can't do them. I tried once and cracked my Carbon. Sadface.

As you can see, I love Sally Hansen nail treatment polishes. I've gone thorough two of the Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Fast Dry Top Coats. They're incredible. Two coats of this after a manicure will ensure your nail polish lasts for a good five days at least. I really liked the Sally Hansen Miracle Cure Nail Strengthener. I think it did such great things for my nails. When I ran out of the Miracle Cure Nail Strengthener I was bit broke so I replaced it with Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Nylon + Retinol Strengthener. I don't think it's as good as the Miracle Cure but it's still good and makes a great base for nail polishes! None of these polishes are completely empty but they've gone a big thick and funky. I thought about thinning them out with polish thinner but I'm not sure whether it'll ruin the treatment properties.

Finally, I did finish a MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC20 late last year but have already disposed of it in the BACK2MAC program, scoring myself Vegas Volt lipstic. Yay!
